if i have two metals in my composite do i need to do refinement of same xrd twice for each metal?

I think you don't need to do refinement for each metal , you should go for whole compound that your composite is about. If your peaks matching with any of the compound then you should get the cif file and do refinement you don't need to go for exact what you have . I think 3 reason that i can say 1- For Rietveld refinement you need to get the X ray exposure of minimum half an hour, so that refinement will be easy and perfect, but mine sample exposure time was 5-8 minutes. 2- My sample was thick film which having more background noise as compare to powder sample. 3- I did only for 5 minutes of refinement on FulProf that's why i believe.
