Ten Second Review
The MG4 XPOWER isn't your ordinary EV family hatchback. It accelerates like a Ferrari, yet costs about the same as an ordinary electric compact family five-door. It's got all-wheel drive, has all of the required sporty vibe and spoils you with equipment. There's a lot to like here; but is this a real hot hatch? You'll need to decide.

Chinese conglomerate SAIC have bought back the old MG Rover 'X POWER' badge for the dual motor performance version of their MG marque's MG4 EV. Off the line, this model really wouldn't be that much lower than ultimate velocity six-figure luxury EV is like the Tesla Model S Plaid or the Audi RS e-tron GT. And it comfortably has the legs of a combustion-engined super hatch like, say, a Volkswagen Golf R. It's considerably cheaper than one of those too.
'Cheaper' is possibly not the right word to use for a compact family hatch priced well the wrong side of £35,000, but the fact remains that this XPOWER model's asking price is still below what you'll probably pay for an ordinary EV hatch like a Volkswagen ID.3. So what's served up here as well as extra power? Let's see.

Hey, love your videos... But the music is way too loud at the beginning, then on the rest of the video you might want to try a "remove noise" or "isolate voice" filter Finally, looks like you might have used a camera capable of recording LOG, that's great for color grading, but then, the video seems NOT color graded, or without applying a color LUT... It's very washed out. Not trying to be mean, just some observations that could make your videos even better. Keep up the good work!

Thrust forward in a 20mph area while you wait to thrust forward again up a motorway at 70mph. Wishing to get back to town traffic looking for someone to race at traffic lights. Really!! Looks a great, no personality. budget built car + todays standard gismos. Great range when you switch slug mode. No forgetting an estimated 50% depreciation after 18 months, if not before!!

I've yet to see a 50 percent discount in 18 months on MG4. I bought mine at 20 months old for 36 percent off with 10k on clock...best I could get

The adaptive setting does absolutely nothing it’s like being in regen 3 it will not coast slows down to a stop going uphill nothing like in Kia e soul and Kona which was completely automatic

I drove one and I wouldn't call it a hatchback in terms of height. Felt like I sat much higher than a golf etc.
