compression test of foam ball using abaqus

I tried the similar model but using the viscoelastic material. Although I set the Poisson's ratio 0.48， the results the volume of the ball has decreased, and U2 and U3 perpendicular to the compression direction are almost equal to zero. What is the reason for this?
