I love when you quote Steve Lav . Both of you make your channels fun to watch as well as teaching technique and educating the public about plumbing . I will say as well , your both vey good and very experienced hvac and plumbing techs . I think you both do great work . The only way I know to prevent the contents of the high or low side from spraying out under pressure is to shut down the system and equalize the high and low side . The gauges will reflect the pressure drop and the gauges or anything connected the the ports can be disconnected . Of course there’s the way to send the refrigerant back into the system from the gauges . It must take longer since the system is much bigger . Never did this on an hvac system because I never serviced one but would like to see how it’s done just out of interest . Your channel really gets my mind in gear !

Hey Mikey, rule of thumb on ladder setup 4 to 1 rule and 3 feet above roof line. Much safer 😉
@royordway91573 жыл бұрын
and take a pair of vise grips to clamp the the edge metal and tie the top of the ladder off. This is a requirement and also a smart thing to do. Ask me how I know. I did have a ladder blow over on me 30 years ago.
@bretpashnick47553 жыл бұрын
Stand with your feet against the base of the ladder and reach out to a rung directly in front of you at shoulder height. with your arms fully extended you should be standing straight up and not leaning forward or backward. This is the correct climbing angle of aprox 70 to 75 degrees.
@petersmart19993 жыл бұрын
Firemans carry and setup,you are correct!
@edt.62673 жыл бұрын
I was told that safe setup of an extension ladder is a 4:1 ratio, 2 full rungs above the dismount line, and secured top & bottom. Commercial construction has got regs for everything! I should add, the method you described to setup the ladder works 99 time out of a hundred.
@throttlebottle59063 жыл бұрын
that also places the flats of the D shaped rungs horizontal, if you want to get silly you can put a level on the ladder.
@patrickvillegas38853 жыл бұрын
Look on the side of the ladder you will see a L shaped diagram , when the bottom of is level you are set. The other thing you need to know is that you want three rungs above the set point that way you can step off the ladder with h something to hold on too. This helps with you ur balance stepping off the ladder. Always try to secure the top of the ladder because if it slides to the ground you are in for a long day. Always use a rope to bring your equipment to the roof. When climbing a ladder you should always maintain three point of contact. This is hard to do if you are carrying something in your hands. Always remember that you are responsible for your safety. This is HVAC you going home in one piece is the most important thing each and every day.

Every measurement has an associated error. Place the two temp clamps on a piece of copper tubing at ambient temp. If they were both perfect, they would read that same temp in a few minutes. Put both pressure transducers on a tee to the same pressure and see what they read. That will tell you how well they track each others.

When Daniel goes to the club tonight, you’ll be able to spot him anywhere in the dark. Who knows, maybe he’ll start a trend. 😂😂😂. Every wired clamp on temp. probe I’ve used had to be calibrated to the thermometer. When I do the ice bath calibration, I find that the probe in T1 and T2 give different readings . Whatever you set the probe to, you can only use it in THAT socket. ( Fieldpiece wired 2 channel unit).
