I really appreciate how welcoming you are to people new to the tech world. When you said something to the effect of "for those of you who dont know IT yet. I say yet because you will know all this stuff. Its only a matter of time" it gave me a lot of motivation. Its easy to feel discouraged when entering a completely new field, but its a nice reminder that we CAN and eventually WILL understand Thank you for providing this amazing free resource. Its been an essential study tool

Your most welcome and thank you for the compliment, appreciate it. Yeah your right, you will eventually get there. It will just take some time and work but you'll get there. It's something everyone in IT has to go through. A lot of guys in IT make it seem as if they were just where they are overnight but that's not true. It actually took some time and work anyone in IT to get where they are today. It can be done and you're definitely capable of it if you put your mind to it.

i wanted to ask a question but, you explained at 47mins in. I thought a RJ-45 and RJ-11 was the same thing and had the same purpose just a different version, but they do differ a RJ-45 is used for ethernet connection and has 8 wires and a RJ-11 is used for "Plain Old Telephones service" (POTS) line and has 4 wires. That also explains why you can't connect a RJ-45 cable into a RJ-11 port and vice versa. Its "idiot prove".

@BurningIceTech
@BurningIceTech Жыл бұрын
If you mean does PoE Box "inject power" into the Ethernet cable then yes. It's basically a power injector of sorts. It allows you or the user to put or "inject" power into a Ethernet cable that would otherwise not have power and this will in turn allow the Ethernet cable to power something up that does not have a power source near it. Perfect for things like access points on the ceiling where there is usually no power plugs/sockets to plug it into

Your videos are super easy to understand but i find when i also read the compTIA A+ Ebook, they mention tons of seemingly important info that you don't mention in your videos, such as the individual PoE voltages. Do you cover all of the points the exam will touch on, or should i pair the Ebook with your videos?

Haha no, 1 cable looks better than having 2 cables, especially if you start looking at a lot of employees. At one or two desks its not that big of a deal but if you start having a lot of employees, lets say 100, that's now 200 cables. If you use the PoE method though, it would bring that number down to 100 cables :P

@mqtlfy
@mqtlfy 6 күн бұрын
No, this isn't an example of PoE, since your phone uses USB, and actually have power source(battery) already and if you removed this battery your phone won't work plugging that USB only, also transferring data doesn't interfere with charging because inside the USB there are four different tiny wires, two of them is used for sending data, and the other two is for power.
