I have my A+, and I can say most places I’ve applied to have been wanting experience with the A+ so you don’t need experience to get the A+ but to get the job mostly you’ll still need a year of experience, unless it’s fully entry level and requires no experience, which there are a few. Mostly I get asked about my experience, first.

Where do you get experience?

@@amoreperfectpodcast9061 I just interviewed with a small tech company for a IT Support Specialist role, and the ad they put on indeed said it's ok if you don't have experience because if you're the right fit, they will teach you, which is awesome. I like this company and maybe they will hire me on so that I can get much needed skills and experience, aside from my formal education and certs. So there are companies that are looking for candidates that they can teach. If you get the A+ cert, you might try applying to various computer repair shops, see if you can get a part time role just working as a technician, and go from there. Make sure they understand you're interested in working for them, and they'll at least give you an inclination one way or the other.
