How to Make Marble Blast Levels (VERY OLD VIDEO)

I mention this in the tutorial. When you press F3 or F4, when you are in the level editor, at the top right, there is a box. Click the little plus sign and look for a line of words that says missioninfo-script object, something like that, then the name option will be in the parameter field below.

I mention in the tutorial how to edit, but anyway, F3 gives you parameters, that is what you start with by default, and F4 gives you options of things you can add to your level. F8 gives you a free roaming camera, but make sure you have the level editor (F11) turned off B4 you use it. And F7 places your marble where your camera was.

The parameters (F3) have a time change option. Click on the top list in the upper right hand corner to expand it. There should be a little plus button. Then click on Script Object and the Gold Time is below.

I just use the screenshot software built into OS X. I think there is a keyboard shortcut to do it, but I don't quite remember. Just have the photo in a JPEG format with the same name as the mission file.

@michdber Changing the marble requires you to put a custom skin into the folder. To change the camera you just press F8 (on Windows) when the dev cheat is enabled. Check my tutorials playlist for a more in depth tutorial on how to modify Marble Blast.

@josipbabok2 You might be using a different version of Marble Blast. Another way to do this is to just open any level, delete all of the contents, and do a Save As command to save the .mis file to your Custom folder. Then you can edit the .mis file.

@michdber In the upper-right there should be a list of items. Select "BoundsTrigger" or whatever it says, and delete it. Or select it, press F3 to load the parameters, then in the lower-right you can change the size.

Press F3. In the upper right there should be a little + sign. CLick that and then click on Script Object, or something like that. In the lower right, you can edit the name and stuff.

You select the bounds and delete it. If you look in the Mission Objects (in the upper right corner) there is something that says InBoundsTigger or something like that. That is an easy way to find it.

You select it from the list. It is called inbounds trigger. Select it and press delete or CTRL X.

In the rotations section that I showed you. You enter in the degrees, but not all things can be rotated.

You can download skins from File Front and put then in the shapes/balls/ directory that is in the game.

There is a save function, but I can never get it to work. I just use the Finder to move the files into the custom folder. Or the Explorer on Windows.

Once you download a level drag the level (.mis) and the picture (most likely .jpg) into the custom folder. Are you on Windows or Mac OS X?

Thanks for the info. I did a Save Mission As... to marble/data/missions/beginner, but when I open up Finder and "open the package file" then drill in to that location, I do not see my newly saved mission file. Is there some trick to doing a save as on mac OS X? As you probably know, on OSX you have to open the "package" to view the contents. I tried to set the permissions to read-write, just in case, but I can't seem to get the "save mission as" to work. Any ideas?

hildron i am having a problem with custom levels for some reason i play some of my custom levels then i played 1 other level but the screen went black then to my desktop and my mouse pointer had no shadow then i realised it crashed how do i fix this?

You have to press ~,Then type in $testcheats=1;.Then you go into a level,and you press f8,Then you press f11.Then you press f4 to get interiors.Now you can make your own custom level.
