I'm sorry I don't know the reason. All I can suggest is to check the formatting of the field(s) being used in the calculation.

You could just show the negative number in the same way that you show positive. In the video when I format them in red. That can be edited there to show negatives however you want. You need to be careful here, because negatives should be viewed and identified as negative values.

You can use a field in the Report filter for this.

How do I show a slicer selection in a cell?

Excel does not really have its own way. However you could create another PivotTable that you can hide somewhere on that sheet or another. Put the field that you are using in a slicer in the rows area of this PivotTable. Ensure the Slicer is connected to this new PivotTable also. Now when you use the slicer, the selection will appear in the cells of this new PivotTable and you can reference them in your formulas etc.

Not sure Mahesh. Maybe you copied the first Pivot and it has not been recognised as a Pivot. Or the two Pivots do not share a cache. Google the Pivot Cache.

How do I know what level I am using excel? Like beginner,intermediate or advanced, I have searched online but the definitions are ambiguous, one job asked what level am I using pivot tables with the same criteria mentioned above, how do I know if I'm advanced or another level?

Difficult to know. People have different interpretations. I think if you can write nested IF's, do VLOOKUPs and use Pivots competently then you are Intermediate. Being able to adapt to problem and Excel situations easily is advanced. It is a Excel life skills really. Knowing how Excel thinks and behaves.

Some people disagree that the techniques in this video are advanced. But I train users around the world in some of the biggest companies daily, and many are not familiar with these techniques. Or if something goes wrong, where to look.
