I already can't wait to hear the rest of this album. Just ...Wow! This is such powerful songwriting, down to every beautiful detail. Danz has always been a (criminally underappreciated) top-notch, gifted artist, but this right here is through elite level! It's been a real joy watching you evolve as an artist over the years. I hope everyone else appreciates your talent the way we do. A true musical treasure. I wish I had this when I was growing up you kids don't know how lucky you are... @JP Pope You make some good points re: artist name. But off-key singing? I do not hear that at all. I don't think that's it, regardless. I like synthpop, but I am not the average American. She's neither hip hop, country, EDM nor vanilla pop and in the U.S. that's a problem. She has a large fanbase in Japan and, I suspect, a growing fanbase in Europe, so I am happy that she is still at it. "Danz CM" I think is a good name change. I liked Computer Magic just fine, but then I am a geek. None of her current fans will have a hard time finding her, especially since she has an album called "Danz".

@JP Pope As long as she is following her own path, I'm happy. Her music still sounds analog synth and sort of new wave, though perhaps a little more mainstream. But her older stuff is still there for us to listen to and watch. She is still at it, and I doubt she is done evolving, so I remain optimistic.

@@zincharge It's not that confusing, now that searches for Computer Magic mention Danz CM and also her second album is named Danz. Anyway, she is always mentioned as Danz even on past articles and interviews. The older fans may remember that she considered changing her moniker in 2018 before her second album but she gave up. Instead, she named the album Danz.

My music library on Amazon doesn't even show new music from her. I would have no way of knowing if I didn't follow her on social media or search for her. I don't really care what she calls herself, but in terms of continuity it's a mess. There are now basically 3 names for one "band". Will she need to change it again in a couple years?

I consider "Davos" to be a masterpiece and a vastly underappreciated gem. I imagine that everyone at space camp is required to listen to that album and watch the videos. And then write "I realize that Danielle is not likely to become my girlfriend." 100 times on a smartboard before being allowed to wear a spacesuit. Seriously, though, she just keeps getting better and keeps innovating. The name change is a good move. I was not put off by "Computer Magic". But I imagine some were. Sounds like geek stuff. And there is an element of that in her music, but as y'all know, she's hardly one dimensional. We all know her music, so we are already hooked. "Danz CM" could be a rapper, a DJ, a secretive music collective from Prague, an indie band from Cambridge, Mass. My point is that one is less likely to form preconceived notions when hearing the new name.
