RT in a teaching facility here. Spent hours going over this with new residents every year. This is so short and informative; I’m going to direct them to this lecture. Thanks!

Great video, breath stacking can also be a trigger sensitivity issue

for air trapping permissive hypercapnia could be considered as well, we could reduce Vt/rate and allow for some hypercapnia in place of risking lung injury

Wow. We as ICU nurses only learn in the floor and sometimes it doesn’t stick. Thank you. I’ll put it in my pulmonary folder and practice. Do you have video on setting up biosphere for pulmonary edema versus copd?

ICU PA here. Love your videos! Was wondering if you could make a video on chart review tips? I do a lot of admissions that require pretty extensive chart reviews for pertinent data/prior medical history and was wondering if you may have any insight on how to go about this process optimally?

That's definitely a tough subject to cover but I agree it would be a very important and useful one! I'll see if I can make a video tackling this subject sometime in the near future :)

Hi Dr. Liu, We have been watching your videos for quite some time and are amazed at how knowledgeable you are. My mother is on a ventilator for life support, and I would like to ask if you offer paid consultations to check if her ventilator is set up correctly. I can send you a video of her machine, which you might be able to review and interpret its findings. We urgently need an expert opinion like yours. I hope you receive this message and consider our request. Thank you so much!

The only EKG book you'll ever need (amazing), Marino's ICU book (though I still haven't even finished it lol) - UpToDate EVERYTHING and read about everything you see on there!

I noticed the pressure waveform changes depending on the mode (PC/AC), does the flow and volume waveform remain the same regardless of mode? Thank You for the video!!
@ConanLiuMD8 ай бұрын
They likely would change since there are some slight differences in how quickly the breath is being delivered!! Not 100% sure though on what specifics would look different

Seems RTs will be out of job in the future since there is a high chance that MDs, Biomeds, and Nurses can do their jobs if given enough training.
