I use my Revlon One-Step to put my wild hair back together when I wake up each day in less than 5 minutes. I have never been good at blow drying my hair but mastered the Volumizer in no time. I usually need to use a blow dryer to get my started when I wash it bc its very wavy and frizzy but then I can finish it into a style with Revlon Volumizer. What I like about the travel one that you have here is that I will be able to clean it since the brush is detachable. After using it daily for 9 months, the bristles need more than just combing thru. From your demo, the travel one really can be used on a daily basis so I am def going to get one- so thanks for the demo and detailed explanations. Very helpful!

I was given the Infinity Pro as a gift, and the instructions clearly say to use a blow dryer first to get the hair 80% dry before using. I agree that it's not very powerful, however, I think for someone with finer hair texture it would be great. I do love the way it smooths the hair.

For me Conair is the only tool that doesn’t demage my hair and makes them super soft and smooth. You can definitely see the difference with a longer use. I had Revlon one-step dryer brush but it really burned my hair. Conair takes longer and you need to pre-dry your hair but results are much better without damaging ur hair. I have thin, bleached hair so I need something more gentle.

Thanks for sharing!! I agree the Revlon gets hot, I cannot use it without a heat shield spray.

@@ElevateBeautyCo what spray do u use? I always use a heat shield too, but it’s not like u can cover every single hair in it, I do spray it very generously but then I need to wash my hair at the end of the day cause they’re greasy 🙄 and then washing them too often makes it dry.. never ending battle

These brushes are meant to use on pre-dried hair that is dried until barely damp. Trying to use them on wet hair as you did, would take forever.

Conair Infiniti does tell you to start with the hair 80 percent dry. It may work much faster for you if it's a little less damp starting out.

To be fair, the Hot Tools one isn't advertised as being a travel size or mini size. It's advertised as having a smaller barrel, which can be interchanged with a bigger barrel or the other tips that go on it. They advertise the barrel as being 30% smaller than the other one, in order to boost the roots and get smaller curls vs the bigger one which is better for a more voluminous blowout.

Great point and you are correct, thanks for pointing that out!

The Conair did a MUCH better job - visibly - giving you a sleek bouncy blowout with body and bend! The reason you found it “painfully slow” is because your hair was WAY too wet to start with (they tell you 80% dry first) and MOST importantly the Conair doesn’t get BLASTINGLY HOT and fry your hair so it may take a little longer but SO worth it to avoid heat damage!
@jenniferannfox2316

I noticed how wet it was too. You have to have it about 80% dry before you start with these tools.

My first thought was maybe the Infinity would be good for my thin white (I'm 66 and no more coloring for me) hair. Most of the reviews I've watched on these types of dryers say they are very hot which is holding me back buying one. Thank you for this review.

I have very textured hair and I love the Conair! I dry it a bit on cool setting, spray my hair with heat protectant than crank the heat up and brush my hair with the attachment in sections. This week I didn’t even use my flat iron!

I used a hot brush stick back in the 70s. The brush only went 2/3 the way around but it was fab I think it was a Revlon. I recently renewed my love for this type of dryer buying the Conair. It’s really lightweight and does a great job on partially damp hair

We find the larger rectangular shape one just too big to handle for the hands. My daughter and I each have one; she likes the smaller one that is rounder. For us, it just seems easier to deal with. So for us the Conair infiniti pro works better.

You’re absolutely right it did! Because it doesn’t get SCORCHINGLY hot it may take a bit longer on thick hair, but it dies a great job of giving a smooth bouncy blowout. And your hair cannot be sopping wet when you start with ANY of these blowout brushes.
