The hard truth is that most luxury cars, these days, add nothing to the experience of driving compared to quality "average" ones, particularly if you're a passenger - as I'm sure Conan is most of the time, it will be his assistants doing the driving. So then you go for something like Tesla for bragging rights in progressive circles (green etc). Humility has little to do with it, it's a series of pragmatic choices.

He didn't want to pay the lawsuits so he filed for bankruptcy to "reorganise his assets." When he sold his mansion he gave the money to charity. 50 plays dumb but he's a very smart man. In my opinion, Ford Taurus is the ultimate 'sleeper car' in many ways, or at least "back in the day." Early 1990s Taurus were quick; you didn't even need the SHO edition. Furthermore, they had some subdued colors including a pale baby-blue. Additionally, it was a great car to drive late at night because of the humorous driving patterns of vehicles traveling ahead of you and/or next to your lane. Where I grew up, all the cops drove the Ford Taurus or a Lincoln Continental. You could tell or suspect a cop was behind you based on the distinct body frame and headlights of the Taurus -- "Taurus for Us!". P.S. It's grand watch the original Robocop where the police cruisers are either a Ford Taurus or a Mercury Sable.

So for the wealthy to remain wealthy is first save as much as you can by earning more, keep the same lifestyle as you had without finances. Get only what you need for health.
