Agreed, but best interviews go to Craig Ferguson. I've been a huge Conan fan for 17 years but Craig's interviews were just undeniably the best because they were authentic (unrehearsed) and Craig kept them funny without prepared material. I feel the best comedy comes from spontaneity and sticking to rehearsed material makes it more difficult to be spontaneous.

I realized recently that the part where Conan has to work for his 14 kids, that's actually a metaphor. Conan needs to continue to work not for himself but for his staff and crew that moved with him from NYC to LA. Conan is a Dad to these people.

I have no doubt Conan was feeling a small (or large) part of all of this years ago. I also know he is a good, genuine, hard-working guy who has always tried to do the next right thing. He is criminally underrated and under appreciated. I’m so glad I didn’t latch onto another crappy late night host. Conan is the man and he’d be the last person to say that. *One of the most hilariously petty moments in TV history, truly iconic! ♥* Not enough people know this, but part of his exit from NBC banned him from TV appearances and interviews for 6 mos., which I suspect was to prevent him from badmouthing the network, but he found a way! 😂 He found a loophole and did the live tour, which was featured in the *2011 documentary "Conan O'Brien Can't Stop"* - which I highly recommend. ( _Currently, I am able to find it for free on KZbin._ ) In it, he keeps his classic humor despite feeling really uncertain and burnt out, and achieves a level of pettiness I aspire to; yet you can really tell that keeping his team employed was weighing really heavily on him. ♥ Can't wait to see what he does next.

Theory: Conan actually died at the hands of the NBC executives. He imagines his family as though he had 14 kids, and his life flashes before his eyes (except he is the clown instead of the kid at the birthday party, and the BK cashier instead of the customer). He is not saved from death by Larry King, as Larry King is obviously dead. Instead the goal is to keep Conan satiated so as to feed off his energy while in the afterlife. The note that says "Much less" actually is referring to his soul, as he left part of it on earth with NBC. He accepts the terms though, as it is the only way to feel as he felt in his life on earth.
