According the the info I've gathered (and assuming the fire map was accurate and recently updated), the fire literally was stopped in his backyard. If that's so, then he's one lucky duck. I'll be very happy to get confirmation from him that he won't need to change the name of the podcast to Conan O'Brien Needs a Home. What an utter nightmare the loss of his house would've been on top of the other losses he endured a few weeks ago. Sadly-- again, based on the info I've gleaned but can't confirm-- Sona may not have fared as well with her Altadena home. Her street seems to have been right in the fire's path. I certainly hope I'm wrong, and wish her and Conan the very best. (Update: The fire perimeter maps (one is Cal Fire's, the other, the LA Times') have given conflicting info over the past hour or two, showing Conan's home at times within the burn perimeter and, at others, barely outside it. As I type, the maps both show that his home has NOT been overtaken by the fire. Let's just call it touch-and-go for him at this point.)

You're reacting to an update that I've since amended about his place being overtaken, which is what Cal Fire's map showed a couple of hours ago (but has since been altered). I'm just going to let things stand at "touch-and-go" unless evidence points CLEARLY to a definitive outcome. Sorry for the unnecessary worry.

Very worried about Sona and family. She lives in Altadena-Canon. That area was evacuated yesterday and from what I read, fires hit hard that neighborhood. She may have lost her home. I hope everybody is safe. Matt lives in Pasadena, west of Arroyo Seco, and I think he was not in evacuation warning. Conan, if what I read was correct, moved to Carpinteria from Pacific Palisades, so he may not be in danger. But what's happening is terrible, and I'm wishing the best to all affected.
