7:08 is a perfect example of why Matt and Sona are essential to the show. Think how dry the exchange would be without someone there who immediately gets Conan's imagery and cues him that he's got something he should run with. The zookeeper lady is nice, but plodding past every setup does not a comedy show make. Go sidekicks!

I also work at a zoo and yes zookeeping is stupid competitive, especially if you work at a famous one like mine. there are many tortoises with large personality like marge from kamp kenan and odis from maybe garden state tortoise. one of our Aldabra's is at least 120 years old and our alligator is at least 80.

To be honest I think Conan doesn't believe in the products he's promoting and most of them are things he doesn't use personally. So that's why he uses a specific voice based on old advertisements because he might as well do the ads while having fun.

@@ZakFierce I know that but he doesn't use what he's promoting so can't say much about their quality it's fine for me because they're bringing in the bucks and the way he's mocking them but still approving the ads anyway is a funny situation 😂. One thing I'm worried about though is BetterHelp; some KZbinrs have started taking such ad offers and seem to have forgotten its issues in the past that are probably still there; the money involved is most likely significant 😩.

It's more onomatopoetic and more specific to a gentle and satisfying motion. Scratching can have an abrasive or even defensive connotation that she's excluding by using scritch instead
