Conan Exiles | Siptah Guide 2025 | Ep.4: Expand The Clan

Continuing our guide to the Isle of Siptah in the Age of Heroes, in this episode we start by upgrading our armour, then we check out the River Watch Keep camp. Then we head out to visit the Stygians and start a recruitment drive for new "friends".

you know i knew i could open the gate...i looked and looked all thru that camp...i never found the lever so i figured maybe funcom changed it...its by mr troll bane the whole time in the one spot i always over looked cause it looks so close to being rubble in that spot as well...i feel dumb now.

I had seen that stygian camp, but i did not know it spawned a random crafter, i usually bypassed it, or quickly said hello on my way elsewhere. I learned this week that named porters spawn only from T4 surges. I spent hours trying to get one just from normal map spawns. The up side is that now most of my "friends" have names. I even have 2 Accursed Berserkers (1 berserker, 1 berserkess) - yes i even went all the way over there, because i was getting rather discouraged at my lack of success. So you can imagine the profoundness of the "oh..." i said when i found out: T4 bearers are from T4 surges *only*. I'd gone up at least 10 levels between when i started my futile search, and when i paused (because i will get a T4 porter, just later), so now i'm like "Ok, where was i before all this started". My tools are all broken, my armour is full of holes, my weapons are thinned from sharpening, my crafting stations outdated, and most of my friends are still in rags. I need to renovate, take care of my little army, craft some stuff. Not sure if i'll move to a new spot or renovate, though. The brick ovens are going round the clock, blacksmith and carpenter are doing overtime. I had started watching this particular series because i'd always end up building in the same spot. Here was a new spot for me, so i started a new game in this spot, and so far, it works well. If i do move my base, it won't be to my usual spot. I'm building up a small camp by the Layshrine of Demons, but that's just going to be a "friendship center" for when i'll do surges. I don't think i'll build that up to a full-blown camp or fort.

Very fortunate indeed to be getting a whole series of good friends from that one spot! Apart from the small encampment on the island near the Sentinels camp area, do you know of another "easy" place to farm friends on EL? I did get lucky and found a named armourer very early on, but no luck with anything more than Tier 2 since. Cheers, Mate.

@Major-Dan I would say the best location on EL would be Sepermeru, especially if you use Purple Lotus Orbs. Black Galleon can be good, but too easyvto pull loads at once can make it hard to tame. But Sinners Refuge is amazing due to the almost guaranteed Named mobs at the back of the cave 🤘😎🤘

@@AngaarUK I agree, I've just been looking for somewhere a little closer to my starter base. I set up a friendship center near Sepermeru, but not much luck yet. Same for Sinners Refuge, thanks, I'll keep plugging away! PS. I am close to having my starter base (I call it: "In the Shadow of the Sentinels") done. Next I'll have to figure out how to "take a picture" and then... Oh Dear, figure out how to post it. Look at me learning new things in my old age 😁

I found a cool mod called Improved Thralls & QoL by Szabii, which add some cool features to thralls and if the player chooses to allows more thralls to follow you. I like the idea of building a small army and raiding large camps or even towns on the map, however I wanted to know if you know of any mods which increase the number of enemy spawns? I feel adding more thrall followers will make things too easy if the number of enemies is not increased to match.

There is a mod called Improved NPC Engagement which can make the standard enemies a bit tougher- they will do combos more frequently, chase you further and stuff like that. If you really want to be annoyed there is also a mod called PvE Plus Ambush, which spawns random gangs to attack you while you're standing around afk 🤣

Hey Angaar, how's it going? Why not change the name of the wheel of pain to the wheel of friendship? Also did you know you can dismantle sorcerer spell pages for black blood? Not saying you should though.

I couldn't help but notice it looked like you'd done the Tanner's Journey steps but hadn't actually completed it by pressing the "Complete Journey icon . . . . Oh and just out of curiosity, how far is Render Range?

@ianoag that is quite possible, I will check. Thanks. Render range is variable based on you computer settings, but basically once out of visible distance so your computer doesn't have to render it any more, when you run back it will respawn things again 🤘😎🤘

Btw, how do you kill the sorcerers III so fast? Did you change some server settings? Or difficulty level?

Nope, settings are vanilla (apart from the ones mentioned in Ep.1 description), however I do have the steal weapons from the Flame in the East chest. 🤘😎🤘
