Conan is responsible for endlessly funny sketches through his late night reign. I can't remember how many times even as a teenager I would tune in excited for the monologue, the skits, the interviews, the music act or comedian/special guest/animal handler and all the random moments when his crew of goofy players that would interrupt the show to contribute to a bit. The banter was always exciting no matter the guest, the audience was always having a good time, and I was at home laughing my ass off and wishing this man all the best. So glad I got to grow up watching this man own the air during the time he was on. One of the funniest men who ever lived hands down.

Hey man, could you tell me this. What's a Dollar Worth to an American? For Instance, Ruppee is the Currency of India (1 USD = 75-80 INR) One Ruppee is worth almost nothing in India. And one can get a sandwich for about 300Rs.( THAT'S LIKE 4$USD WHEN CONVERTED)
@Otis151
@Otis151 3 жыл бұрын
@@thenus6212 Great question. I dont have a great answer for you. In a big city, a restaurant style experience meal could cost $13-25+. A more casual restaurant could only cost $5-9 for a sandwhich or something similar. Prices may be lower in more rural areas. Others may want to chime in and correct me. A fun and direct answer to your question is the Economist Magazine's Big Mac Index which shows how much a Big Mac costs in various nations across the globe. It is a crude but fun way to see how we value currencies around the world!

When this came out, Carson was alive and well and had only just come off the air, and Letterman was in his prime. Conan definitely was 3rd place (although I prefer his humor to both of them). Now, however....he has a hell of a claim to the throne.

Carson had been retired for almost a decade. He wasn't on late at night any more so he couldn't be considered the king of late night, otherwise Letterman would still be considered the king of late night right now, because he's been retired for less time than Carson was at this point.
@doctorsuave

@@zackerycooper7602 it was years since the last tonight show but he’d been going on television and movies until 2000. I wasn’t clear in my post that I didn’t just mean the tonight show…so unclear that when I reread my post I was like “huh wtf was I talking about,” before I realized what I meant. But yeah. Carson left the public eye fully in like 2000, a year before this one.
