What I loved about that video was the way Key genuinely seemed like a shy and nervous fan throughout their tour. Usually Key is even better at English, more relaxed and even sassy, but here he really shows his admiration towards Conan.

Key and Conan were such an unexpected pairing, but they matched their energy really well. Conan was also on Wendy's (from Red Velvet) radio show and was really lovely. And Key is so cute here 😄

Key is really genuine in how he interact with people, and also very considerate and sensitive to what is around him. He interacts but doesn't sugarcoat or go over the top with his reactions, he doesn't fake it for the sake of reaction. This is why it's so cute seeing him "fan over" other artists coz you know he really is "fanboying". He is a star himself but also gets starstruck with other artists, which is yeah so likable. It makes him human and relatable.

It's really amazing to me how Key was able to retain English when he only learned it when he did an exchange program for a few months back in high school. And as someone who uses English as a secondary, tertiary language there are sometimes "delays" in my brain.. lol. Like I know what it is in one language but forgets what it is in another. And here Key can't switch coz Conan only understands English.

Key and conan were honestly such an unexpected combo but seemed to get along really well! I had no idea key was a fan of his, this was so sweet, there was lots of mutual respect. I’m a big fan of conan’s (was lucky enough to go to his concert earlier this year!) and he’s got a super interesting personality. I’d agree in saying he’s extroverted, but also very reflective and can be quiet at times. He’s very authentic to his emotions/values/style, and he definitely has a huge interest in getting to know other people. He got famous through youtube vlogs when he was like 14, so he kind of grew up on camera. He had two amazing interviews about his album Kid Krow on the Zach Sang show, which show his personality and story very well if you want to check them out!

I get the feeling that they're both trying to rein in their batty sides in order to be respectful of each other and so Key is being more reserved in general and Conan goes back and forth between being shy/self deprecating and being extra to put himself out there and ease the nerves a bit (which I find myself also doing when I'm nervous and am not quite sure how to act yet 😅). They need to just be shoved in a bouncy castle or something and let nature run its course

as someone who speaks english as a 2nd language, maybe it's a little awkward coz u gotta translate in your brain and make sure what comes out is right when you're speaking a second language. so maybe that's why key's a little awkward, he's mentioned that something feels off when he uses english a few years back.. plus he's starstruck 😂 and you're so right about Conan! because of that video i liked him even more! thanks for reacting ❤️

Hey Max! First of all thank you so so much for all the effort and passion you put into your videos! I'm always tuning in to watch them asap💕🦋 I love how genuine you are and how open you're to being exposed to new ideas/ways of thinking/celebrities; it says a lot about you, I feel! Love how you pointed out how star-struck Key is and how Conan's engaging in the convo and showing he's listening by repeating what he's been saying. I tend to do that as well and it makes me feel happy to know that to a certain degree I'm helping the other feel heard😊 I feel like I've only watched videos of "good listeners" so I was wondering if you'd be open to talk about two kpop variety show MCS: doni and coni. I think it would be a great video on what not to do (especially in the episodes in which they are with girl groups..) There's also an artist I love a Lot called Hamed Sinno whom I would recommend by how approachable, sensitive, empathetic and careful he is with his words. A few weeks ago an interview of him came out and although long I think it's pretty eye-opening. In any case, thank you so much for taking your time doing these videos, pointing out tips to be better listeners and just being so chill and nice about it! Love your content! Hope you're healthy and well🤲🏼🌟

Thanks for you interesting analysis! What struck me about Conans communication is that he didn't step into that 'Western white dominant' role (which sadly is often a key dynamic in interactions between western and Asian people). Instead he actively seemed to give Key some room to lead the activity and the conversation (even through that seemed to be out of character for the both of them). Very humble, respectful, and mindful of situation and the cultural setting.
