writing on the best years of the simpsons, continuously making a formulaic format like late-night talk shows interesting and endearing, the most rewatchable interviews with timeless comedy legends (Norm, Dave), incredible remote segments, then seamlessly transitioning into podcasts and creating a travel show that no doubt will be amazing. Even the hot ones episode is already legendary. I can think of *no* *one* who has excelled at so many formats with such longevity. if it wasnt Conan its an amount of success youd get mad at. Instead Im just amazed. and thankful for how much he made me laugh

I seriously was crying laughing throughout the entire episode in Thailand, especially with the mom in the first part. I had a strange experience with the new series. Let me start by saying that Conan is the most naturally funny person I can think of. What I love about him is his self-deprecating humour paired with his intellect and kind heart. Yeah, he has the shtick where he plays a narcissist but he’s clearly a nice guy. You can tell by the way he treats his staff. Anyway, I was surprised that the Norway episode left me cold but I think I know why. Conan has had a lot of success with the chemistry he’s developed with Jordan. It works because they are friends. The jokes are at Jordan’s expense but he clearly sees the humour in it. Outside of the Jordan bits, Conan’s comedy is largely self-deprecating. That seems to have changed a bit with this new show. The Norwegians are very reserved and I think Conan tried to replicate that Jordan dynamic with a lot of the locals he encountered but it just came off as a bit forced and even mean-spirited at times. The other 3 episodes were much better because the locals had more energy for Conan to feed off but there were still a few of these moments. Anyway, just an observation. I just think Conan is funnier when he’s not reaching for the comedy and is just being himself. I saw the cogs whirring for the first time in this new series. Maybe it was the pressure of the budget or the overproduction but he doesn’t need to be funny 100% of the time. I’d love for him to show a little more heart. Anyway, rant over even if that wasn’t a rant. 😂 Love you Conan! ❤
