It's not that he doesn't know how to smile or laugh, but he doesn't do it like neurotypical people (source: my partner is autistic). They learn to mirror other's reactions to fit into society. Now I gotta go watch Conan and Jordan in Italy remote again and again..
@AJP09876543213 жыл бұрын
Conan said in a Q&A that initially (e.g. this video) they just put cameras on Conan and Jordan to see where it would go. Since people fell in love with Jordan, Jordan now just slightly exaggerates his own persona on these remotes. The Conan Italy Q&As are brilliant

Jordans character is so hard, its hard to resist a smile or laugh watching conan, it feels like a torture, stoping your laughter

I'm so glad he finally got broken and smiled

I can't even with Jordan. I'm so happy he exists and that this dynamic exists. He's obviously amazing at his job or he wouldn't still be there, and he obviously has a great sense of humor or he wouldn't. Still. Be there. I want new Conan/Jordan content like yesterday.

This was just shortly before Jordan Schlansky fully became "Jordan Schlansky".

Wow you honestly can really tell how Conan was EXTREMELY tame compared to how he was once he got to TBS. You can tell that he acts like a more like an employee trying to appeal to the network vs. after this show and the tonight show, he turned into a dictator (in a comedic way and in the best way possible ofc 😂😂😂😂). His vibe and tone changed SO much. You can’t tell me he is acting the same here as he was on Conan on TBS.

The chemistry here is magical. Being a massive RUSH fan I now prefer Jordan over Conan. I understand this is edited, considerably, BUT the banter is intoxicating. LONG LIVE JORDAN SCHANSKY (shame about that surname Jordan still love you). I also am a hard core wine aficionado.

10 times better than most of the celebrity interviews I've seen!

This guy is a boss 'straight-man'. The fact that his favourite band is RUSH means he is one of the good guys.

Weird like Geddy Lee's voice, otherwise ok.

Indeed. Rush is the best band ever. This Chip Whitley dude has no reason to mock it.

Chateau Margaux and Magnien Chambolle Musigny - Jordan is indeed a man of exquisite taste

Jordan is the quiet introvert who fought his way into social normalcy but kept his mental intact. I hope to reach his level, lol.

The introvert on the spectrum. Can you imagine him and Abed from Community in the same show? That'd be a treat!

Little known fact - Jordan Schlansky is the engineering genius who brought the Conan comedy robot to life in a small lab in San Mateo, CA in 1969. You can notice Jordan’s contented demeanor as he proudly watches his creation’s near human-like operation.

They actually played Limelight as his intro, that's so awesome xD

I would've sworn, in an earlier upload, after Conan says "what else could you do?" he follows up with "Those bitches had to go." Does anyone else remember him saying that?
@arkadehorror2 жыл бұрын
He certainly did. I think they removed it recently, unless there's another version of the interview

Conan, you blew it. In America, you’re just a mere celebrity. If you lived in Ireland you would be a national treasure.
