I knew Cutie was a great robot when it yawned and it was communicative enough to make me yawn too . I want one to replace me at my 9-5 job . No one would notice if Cutie yawns at the exact same time as i do everyday. 5 times ..per hour, every hour of the day.

I don't want to denigrate Abhi as a skilled roboticist, but if you look carefully you can see that he made the robot wave using his own hand...

I imagine it makes more sense that way unless they get it to communicate by verbal cue. Cause otherwise the thing would wave at you every time by motion detection, and that would get annoying fast.
