I first saw this film in middle school and it really inspired me as a cartoonist. The shot of John Kascht sitting in on a meeting with Kevin Nealon and Conan O'Brien is so cool to me now because this film also introduced me to Conan - the best to ever do it.

Can't believe I watched this whole thing, but now... I think I could listen to John Kascht speak at length about any of his subjects. But especially one as interesting as Conan. Just great!

I had the pleasure of meeting John last month. I was inducted into National Art Honor Society where he was the guest speaker. After that, I emailed him and he responded two days ago. He invited me and my friend to his studio to see our artwork and to have dinner! He's such an awesome guy. I've been so giddy since he replied! I can't wait!!

I love how this was primarily a video about outlook and the thought process, rather than about technique itself. It's about seeing. Just fantastic, and inspiring, even if you're doing a completely different style!

There is no more worthy a subject for an artist and a docu like this than Conan O'Brien. This is incredibly done.

W0W! I was blown away by this fabulous documentary, John! So engrossing on so many levels! One needn't be a face hustler to enjoy it (although I am one) The writing was so great... Did you construct the "script"? Edit it, too? I fluctuate between scribbling faces and manipulating footage that I was hypnotized from the 1st frame. More, Sir! Sammy the K

Don't worry too much about the types or brands, just produce as much as possible. Draw EVERYDAY. Whether you feel like it or not, even if you think it's garbage when you're done, keep it, and keep drawing. Your technique coming from practice is going to be 10,000x more important than the tools you use. =)
