Great movie and an even better soundtrack by the late, great Basil Poledouris. Sven Ole Thorsen also played Tigris in the movie Gladiator for a fun fact and had no clue that Andre the Giant played Dagoth.

Thanks pal for the vid CtD and CtB are 2 of my favorite movies in the golden era of the heroes and great action movies little older or some years front like Terminator, T2, Predator and more..! I missed CtB and CtD I have to watch the 2 movies again to remember it good and enjoy it again.!! Btw RIP for so many great actors that are not with us they were great and excpesialy RIP to Wilt (A basketball player not really an actor but plaied in the movie) he was he is a Legend..

Jonk lets hope all and i hope to that they will not make a sequel or a prequel to Conan movies because all that they do these days with their sequels/prequels is to destroy great movies like T1 and Terminator 2 like the Star Wars that they do one per year and all of the new movies of the SW are crappy and not like the first and best trilogy and they destroy the predator series and more.! These days they don't have fantasy or fresh new ideas and they take the old ideas and scripts change it a little and make new crappy movies that suck.. And that's the truth period.!

Just wanted to see Arnold in a new Conan film as a old barbarian king. Fits way better then seeing a grandpa Terminator model (which they do twice now). With a good director and a dark and serious story in the style of the first Conan or Solomon Kane. Sequels can still work, looking at Stallone's series: Rocky and Rambo. In the worst case, Conan 3 could be like Ghostbusters 3 :O

@Tig Bitties I know it's not a Conan film and Arnold doesn't play Conan. That's why I said: "unofficial third Conan film". Because it's the same type of movie (Sword & Sorcery) and followed in the wake of Barbarian and Destroyer. Funny that the film is called Red Sonja, while Schwarzenegger sells the film just as Brigitte did. Should've called this film Conan the Seducer :P

@@Stefandorf well pal i don't like grandpa Terminator too but movies like T1 - T2 or the 2 Conan, the sequels that we will have now these days can't surpass the originals and about the sequels u mentioned Rambo and Rocky those sequels are old and were great back then and only the old sequels like Indiana Jones or T2 were great and again imo only in the past sequels or prequels rule. Today these days the sequels they make like John Rambo (Rambo 4) Indy 4 the terminator movies after T2 of course or the Star Wars sequels prequels and if they would make a new Conan they suck a lot and they do the same stories same scripts with no new stuff only with better CG and new animations and bad actors in the supporting roles or grandpas that play again and suck too.! If you want great movies or awesome sequels go and watch the old ones or movies from the golden era the oldies of 50 - 60s and of course 80s - 90s today movies are very bad not fantasy at all and more...!!!!

@Tig Bitties while the Red Sonja film is not a direct sequel, Conan and Red Sonja do exist in the same universe so it is a sequel of sorts. Also, the filmmakers supposedly had Conan written into the original script but failed to secure the rights so they had to change the name and some details at the last minute. There's a reason why "Kalidor" sounds vaguely like "Conan".

Conan, I mean, Arnie should have made king Conan or Conan 3 because the fans never saw how Conan became king by his own hand and start offspring /a legacy. In the first move at the end of Conan the barbarian there is a part where Conan is older sitting on a throne and the voice over talks about Conan’s future and hinted that would another story....the story of King Conan.

Sylvester Stallone was 30 when made Rocky in 76 and by time he did First Blood he was 35 and was 39 when released Rocky 4 and Rambo 2 and in his mid 40s when made his action films in early 90s like Cliffhanger. Mel Gibson was 30 when did Lethal Weapon and Bruce Willis was 32 when did Die Hard so all big action stars were past their 20s when became big stars.

I always wonder who the monster was in the mirror scene it's the same guy I thought it was a wrestler or body builder. Never new Andre the giant was in this movie he's in that monster suit at the end I would have never knew. Sarah Douglas, Tracy Walter look rough the people that died look good up until that time. I remember Jeff Corey on a episode of Rosanne he played a sales man and died at there kitchen table the rest look great.

This movie is why there was no third movie... they even hinted at a " Conan the King " on the first film, but this movie was so bad that they cancelled the third. The original premise of Conan the Destroyer was going to be even more badassery compared to the first, but they got these supporting actors that took over literally every scene and watered the script down to a pg rating thanks to the studio heads and crapped on their own franchise
