Deborah Foreman - a fellow Montebello, CA celebrity like Sona, was more known by a past generation as the eponymous lead character of Valley Girl, as the target of affections of a young Nicholas Cage. That movie was very impactful to me as a high school teenager - a little bit for the story, a lot more for the hit soundtrack! "I'll stop the world and melt with you......" Foreman also had a role in Real Genius, an early movie for Val Kilmer, where she had a great dialogue with Kilmer's character: Kilmer: "If there's ever anything I can do for you. Or - more to the point - to you, you let me know, OK?" Foreman: "Can you hammer a six-inch spike through a board with your penis?" Kilmer: "Not right now, no" Foreman: "Sorry, a girl's gotta have her standards...." 😂

So rad! Sona is a mega celeb in my book. She's got quite the Wikipedia page which is a very telling celebrity indicator. And forget the celeb status....she's just plain impressive from a career and life accomplishment angle. I will add this too, coming from the parent and parenting angle. I shared Conan with my daughter and was always selective about what we watched. Sona and her graciousness under fire and her patience (perhaps of a saint), with The Man of Infinite Bits That Kill was a joy to highlight as examples of civility and respectful deference and loyalty to her employer. Especially in that HR counseling session for example. That bit has been go to humor soup for the soul when I need something to snap me into a better space. Also, grateful to Conan as a handy guide and parenting tool for object lessons in how to not treat people (be a Doo Bee, not a Don't Bee, kids!). His work as an etiquette anti-hero in The American Girl Doll Store and Cafe is the stuff of legend around the Marraccini household.

If Sona was adding a hard 'g' at the end of "wing" in this ep, the mics were definitely not picking it up.
