I'm not really sure how to describe this song. But it makes me feel like I'm in a car with the wind rustling my hair. With my face cool, eyes closed, vibrant colours blinking on either side of the road as the car whizzes past people. Like that sort of feeling. Or waking up on a cold day and drinking hot chocolate with a blanket covering my cold limbs. I'm not sure what that means but this is song is beautiful.

Hey fellow people looking for the chords !! If you want the basic chords, you could play G for the verse, and C, D, Em for chorus. However if you wanna play like how it is in the video, the chords are G for verse, slid down like in the video and C for chorus, slid down like in the video, whilst plucking on the First, Fourth and Fifth string for the verse and Second, Fourth and Fifth string for the chorus. Hope this helps!! (Like this comment so other fellow guitar players can see this comment if they're looking for the chords) edit on 22/4/20 : omg its been a year since i made this comment but yee glad we can all help each other! i made a cover to this song which is when i figured it out! thank you for the support and all the nice comments :’)

i know a place. somewhere, deep in a field, there's the ruins of an ancient church, with a windmill tower on the top. it's so far out, on a day where there's no wind, it's absolutely silent. there's old carvings on the inside of what's left of the old church building, a man fighting a dragon, and graffiti from visitors from years gone by, 1970, 1950, 1920, 1890. you could camp there, and because of the lack of light pollution, the skies would be full of stars, so full and bright the air is clean, the grass is fresh, it's quiet and it's beautiful. and yes, it's real. it's my own little place to go when i can.

please put this on spotify. This song gives me such a tranquil picture. Warm summer evening. The sun is setting, filling the sky with pink and peach. The golden grass surrounds me. I feel content. I know this is a memory I'll want to look back on when I'm older or sadder. I try keep the experience in my mind. The sight of the setting sun above the field. The slight smell of a bonfire in the distance and something that smells like my old house. I can feel the wind in my hair, in my soul. I feel free. I can hear the grass rustling. I can hear birds chirping. I cant hear any cars. Everything feels so natural. So real. So grounded. And I feel content. For the first time in a long time. I always find so much comfort in Conan’s og music and videos. I found him through Joey graceffa and I’m so grateful, cause Conan, his videos/music helped me survive jr high & highschool. Now I’m 21 coming back to this song again after a heartbreaking year. The words comfort me all the same, and they continue to grow with meaning each time I hear it. Love you sm Conan, unbelievably proud of you, Thanks for indirectly saving my life many times.

This is the most beautiful, pure, and calming music video. The still recording and watching the field and your hair flow in the wind was really something. The shots at the end really made it better. How you don’t even have a mic on you and it’s purely just playing in a field like there’s no camera recording is what makes it feel real to me. I always watch this when I’m sad or homesick or having a panic attack and it melts my tense muscles and it relaxes me. I can’t believe it isn’t getting the recognition and attention it truly deserves. Thank you for making such a beautifully nostalgic video and peaceful song.

i'm not sure if you still read these comments, conan, but i just wanted to say how grateful i am for this song. i discovered it in 2022 and it has become my favorite ever since. the lyricism? magnificent. i just wish it was more appreciated. truly one of the most beautifully songs written this century. no, not exaggerating. this is a masterpiece in every sense of the word.

Me still listening to this 7 years later as i am waiting for Found Heaven is... eye opening. I've always loved you Conan you are the one person i feel safe with. Although I've never met you and i probably never will, just hearing your music and relating to it is enough. It is comforting to me. I know you probably will never see this, but im so so so thankful for you, and im so happy for you ❤️

i think one of the funniest things is that when you find little songs like this years later, you’re instantly teleported to where you were when you first heard it. the first time i heard this i was,,, not doing so good. i’m not really doing good right now either to be honest, but this sweet little memory brings me back to my moments where i felt the calmest and when i was in my own safe place. the thing that i love so much about conan is that his music has been here for me during crucial growing points in my life, and kinda transformed along with me into whatever i needed?? i really do appreciate him more and more as time drags on

i know a place where a little cottage sits in a field of dancing flowers hugged by mountains and the over shine of the afternoon sun. i know a place where my heart begins to flutter not from the love of another rather its the wind that shakes my chambers singing a song i'll always remember i know a place where i'll go to everyday just to lay in the grass and rest my weary soul i'll look up in the sky and wonder... just who is looking down at me i know a place that no one knows about where a little cottage sits in a field of dancing flowers forever hugged by the mountains and the over shine of the afternoon sun.

this song also makes my feel like i’m walking around on a fall day with my friend, to the park or somewhere. it makes me feel like i’m the happiest person and like i could never be sad. i image the orange, yellow, and maroon leaves crunch under my old, beat up yellow converse as i walk with my friend. it makes me so calm that i just feel like i’m in a different place.

Okay picture this: This song is the song of your childhood. You and your best friend running through the woods and fields to escape it all and be happy. Nothing around but bird song and cool winds blowing through your hair. Years later you go back there, not having seen your friend in years. The tree the two of you used to climb has fallen. You sit by the river where you used to skip rocks together. Your childhood is over. It feels like a lifetime ago. Somewhere Only We Know is you’re new song. But the only other person who know’s that place is long gone.

This song has so much meaning to me. It encompasses all the seasons perfectly. The quiet calm of summer, the first leaf fall when the trees look like jewels. The heavy, comforting weight of winters snowed in, the bloom of vibrant flowers in the spring. This song is ethereal and beautiful and perfect. Never change, cone.

Conan thank you so much for this song. I’m not even joking I think it has saved my life. Whenever i am having a really bad anxiety attack i put on this song and listen to it over and over again and the softness of it helps me calm down my breathing and take breaths in time with it and it makes me feel safe again. So thank you, thank you so much. I don’t know what I would do without this song💛
