I met Adam West once. I said to him, I never really watched Batman but I know you from your work on Family Guy. Your character is hilarious and you have such a great voice. He said, "MY VOICE??? ..LA LA LA LA. " I laughed out loud. I asked him his favorite Family Guy line and he said, "I am a tomato." I said, that's it. Thank you! :)

Adam looked very good here at 68. The Batman series was a giant cheesefest but he had all the qualities that made it an enduring portrayal. He gave class and dignity to the role.

Adam West's Batman was the first super-hero remember revering when I was a child... even decades later, in the 80's/90's when the show had already been in syndication forever. Watching him here brings back memories.

Adam West was almost 69 yo when this Conan show was videotaped in 1997. Today is year 2022, and Michael Keaton is already 70, and he's still portraying Batman in a big Hollywood production. Adam could still have played the role during that time.

they did the 2005 special. and this newish flash movie was full of cgi when it came to keaton too. hard to imagine cgi west punching bad guys. besides half of the show were the villains, all of which were dead at this point minus newmar, but she also isnt exactly catlike

Well, if you think about it, Batman: Beyond had the "Uncle Batman" role played by an aged Bruce Wayne from the original animated series. The dynamic of rigid crime-fighter and righteous punk worked well, and they had some great stories.

Is it weird that I wanted to hear Adam talk more about guitars? The fact that he knew Conan loved guitars shows that he wanted to spark up a chat. No offense to Conan, he probably had to stick to a set of questions producers wanted him to ask, but rarely did West get to talk about things OTHER than Batman. I could listen to him talk '66 all day, but the dude genuinely seemed to have other interests that would get overlooked.
