I just had a double mastectomy on Wednesday, today is Saturday, I’m at home and a nurse came by to help me. It was the first time I saw what it looks like. She helped me get the bandage off and I took a Shower, letting soapy water run over the area. I really appreciate you sharing your outcome with us. That takes courage. I’m 80 so I’m not going to do anything to make it look better, I’m just grateful to have the cancer gone and it will be easier to find clothes to fit without the triple D cups.

You are so very pretty. Your videos really are helpful. I'm finding this to be a confusing subject. I guess because it's suddenly come upon me from nowhere. Again (lol!). Thank you for doing this.

I’m glad you shared the two different looks. I was set with going with AFC, but having seen the Goldilocks on you, I think I’m leaning more towards the Goldilocks without a concave. I hope they can give me the look I want. Thanks again for sharing.

Wishing you the best. It's not always easy to find a confident goldilocks surgeon, but they are doing better and better. Be sure to join the fb group "Fierce Flat Forward" and look on the website called "Not putting on a shirt.org" for ideas of good surgeons in your area. The web site has a listing.

Thank you. I had my bilateral mastectomy 3 weeks ago. I was on tamoxifen when I got a second primary breast cancer. I elected to remove both breasts and to go flat. I don’t regret my decision at all. But I’m pretty emotional atm. I have seromas on both sides and I’m guessing my hormones are kicking back into gear after 8 years of being surprised. I seem to have a pigeon chest, which has shocked me. It’ll take time to get used to it. Watching your videos helps.

Thank you for the Informations. Didn't know you choose the form for the goldilocks. The shape is pretty natural. I wish every Hospital could offer that mastectomie alternative to "all off" or " filled up".

Right? Me too! I think they are getting there. Not too much longer to wait.

I asked for afc closure for smx (size d/dd range) and after the surgery it did appear my breast surgeon completed it. However now I’m at the 4 1/2 month and a lot of the swelling has gone down and left me with concave area under my armpit/ side boob that’s in line where nipple area was. They say the first year your body changes a lot so I’m waiting to see what it will look like and if I will want a revision or fat grafting. It seems like get a revision afterwards may have been better to treat the side boob issue. Here’s to moving forward and not living in the what if’s my whole life. Just blessed the cancerous cells are gone 🙏🏽

I had a double goldilocks mastectomy 7 months ago. My right breast, which is where cancer was has very pronounced concavity. My surgeon has asked if I want to correct but after 2 surgeries and recovery I'm not sure. I don't like to look at my r breast. Bras are hard to fit as are some types of tops. I didn't ask enough questions. I heard breast cancer, lumpectomy or mastectomy or goldilocks. I heard small mound so chose goldilocks. I don't regret my decision, just wish I had trusted myself to ask, ask, ask.

Yes. I so agree. There's much to learn early on, and you don't know what you don't know!

Your videos have been incredibly helpful to me for accepting and thinking through the choices since my diagnosis. I have lobular cancer in one breast but decided to do bilateral because I am 73 and do not want to have to go through surgery a second time, and think the asymmetry would be harder to live with than going flat. Because of my slim physique I do not have the option of anything other than flat or an implant (which I decided against), but knowing that there is variation among flat surgeries has guided my questioning of the surgeons I am choosing. I do have one question and do not know how else to reach you other than in these comments: Do you have any guidance regarding CBD for pain for buying from a dispensary here in New York City? I am narcotic averse, so prefer to also use gabapentin and CBD to minimize use of oxy in the immediate aftermath. Thank you again for these videos!

Yes, for pain even the best cbd isn’t enough. You need to add just a little thc. The cbd will counteract the psychoactive components. Look up my expert, an MD named Mikael Kogan based in DC. I’ve consulted with him a few times and I credit him with saving my moms life during her Covid sickness. He’s brilliant and available online. Also wrote an excellent book for those who can’t afford his rates.
