I love using Mac First response eye cream on top of my regular eye cream before applying my concealer, because it is a caffeine dimethicone cream base, it depuffs and it smooths the area beautifully ! I know Mac is old school but gee is this one a good one for my under eye area ! I am 55 too, for reference.

Hi Mel,thank u for this video. I just don’t understand how this hack could work. I have very dry under eye & I can’t even put a smallest amount of powder. It’s been years that I’ve ditched under eye powder. In my opinion anyone with lines should stay away cause it truly does accentuate the lines & make the eyes look few years older. By the way just because it’s WG hack doesn’t mean that it should work with everyone. Honestly I feel like people go so far to come up with a magic trick to create a flawless under eye look that doesn’t settle in the lines…etc but in my opinion they are all a fail cause here is the thing,there is absolutely NOTHING than can do this unless we go under the knife. Everyone if different so do what works for u. No matter what any concealer eventually will settle in the lines & that’s how it is after 50 & I’m perfectly ok & in peace with it. Thank u Mel & your final look is beautiful & yes the no hack eye is absolutely fine. Stay away from those weird hacks no matter who is the creator 😂

I can not use loose powder under my eyes. I have dry skin and just turned 60. Tried so so many different products it just doesn’t work for me. Thank you MelC you have such beautiful eyes ❤

Hi beautiful, I definitely make sure to apply an eye cream too & I like a lighter cream for under concealer too. Oh no! It looks dry already. I think that would happen to me too. Going back to the first hack… if you use a balm that is meant for the undereye, you won’t get milia. I have been using the ROC Multi Correction Revive + Glow Eye Balm (it is in a stick, just like a lip balm) since first seeing that hack (I’m on my 3rd one now), and it works just as good as the Aquaphor and no milia. I use it daily. (Ok, it’s more $, but worth it under my dry eyes…).

Am 56 😢 but after trying different methods and concealers - a small amount of Vaseline tapped under the eye, then put a small amount of concealer on the back of your hand, use a very small brush ( lip brush) and smallest amount of concealer, brush/tap it on….

I'm 53 and using a sponge for my co concealer is big NO for me. It dries out the concealer before it can actually smooth and set.

As soon as you said it, I was concerned. I am 56 and also have dry under eyes. I was actually cringing as you applied it. Definitely a fail, but thanks for sharing! Honestly, I've yet to figure out a decent concealer. None of them seem to go on smoothly. Lately I've been using an eye brightener over a heavier moisturizer. The creasing and pilling don't show as much, but I don't get as much coverage either 🫤

Hi there, yes finding a good concealer can be definitely challenging. The Lancome Teinte Idole is truly my holy grail, just haven't found another one like it. The newer L'oreal one with serum is nice and does a decent job for coverage. I've been testing out the Haus Labs one as well and has good coverage and doesn't leave my under eyes too dry. I don't think she was dismissive at all. She literally said more than once that it did not work for her and her more mature skin, but that it could work for someone with more oily skin. She tried something, it didnt work for her. I don't see how that is discrediting anyone. I also think it's helpful for me, as one of her viewers who also has dry, mature under eyes, to see the results of this particular hack on someone who has similar skin.

There is absolutely nothing wrong about this video. I loved it & I agree with her. This has nothing to do with WG & just because it’s WG doesn’t mean that it’s correct . If a stupid thing like that makes u not wanting to watch her channel then don’t cause obviously you are one of those viewers who is complaining with anything that you maybe don’t like. I can’t do this hack either & I actually hate it for your info. Anything powder makes my under eye look like crap . I don’t care if it’s WG or other make up artists. I do what I think is the best for me. Mel is a fantastic influencer & she respects everyone . By the way she is right our skin is not the same as a man skin so they can talk all they want but they have no clue about so many things about woman & anything that BELONGS to us.
