How I have missed hearing your voice since you left Kamelot! I'm elated to hear you singing with another talented band and hope to again see you perform live one day!

Love the haunting falsetto during the verse. Reminds me a little of The Great Pandemonium off PFTP.

With all due respect and love I have for Conception, what is the point of re-recording old songs? The new versions will never beat the originals anyway. Why bother recycling the same music instead of focusing on creating new material? I just see no point in that personally.

i personally love this version, the new spin they put on the song is more fitting with their current sound. also, maybe it’s because of some label issues with the old songs? their back catalogue seems inaccessible, it’s not on their spotify and stuff. maybe they’re re-recording the songs to properly, legally own them?

It sounds good, gives insight to how the band's sensibilities are at present, and while I don't know what the contractual status is between Conception and their previous label(s), the remade versions are currently the only ones available on Spotify, so it might be a way for them to showcase some of their classic material the original recordings of which could be behind some sort of red tape at the moment.
