I mostly do corporate and theater lighting and video work in the NYC region, we call that an IEC normally. Technically, it's just one particular standard of IEC, but it's the most common 3 pin type in our area. The most standard 2 pin type (technically a C7 I believe, polarized and non polarized) are often referred to as "two pin IEC," and the C5 is very occasionally referred to as "Mickey Mouse Ears." Btw, if you're struggling to understand physical connector vs signal type and don't mind digging deeper into the rabbit hole, researching the OSI network layer model might help, with layer 1 being the physical connection and layer 2 being the data link layer, or in my mind, how the changes in voltages are created and translated back into a signal. Sometimes that's analog, like a wave in analog audio, and sometimes it's digital, like the exact order and speed of voltage pulses used for networking. But it's ultimately all just changes in voltages, or in the case of fiber, flashes of light that get translated into changes of voltages.
