Ask me what I believe in and any day of the week I’m likely to respond with, science. I believe it’s our most sincere and genuine attempt at looking outwardly to the universe and being honest about what we see and how we can progress. Curiosity is a beautiful thing. The one promise i can make for this channel is that I will always upload things that I am truly passionate about.

But it isn't true. We can prove that it isn't true. In the dark, there is discovery, there is possibility, there is freedom in the dark once someone has illuminated it.”
The quote above me (capt. Flint, Black Sails) was really the final push I needed for this project. This project is something I’ve had in mind for months. If there was ever something I believed in, something that resonates with me, it would be that our only approach to life should be seeing reality for what it is. The scientific method is our best attempt at that. I believe the people I featured in this video, are poets, in their own right. Sam Harris, Carl Sagan and Stephen Hawkings. As I was coming up with the concept of this video (Science and hope), I realized I was telling the story Professor Stephen Hawking. I have trouble putting into words what these three gentlemen represent for me but to say I admire them is putting it lightly. Sam Harris is another voice featured in this video; a human I constantly find myself listening to and seeking. And of course, Carl Sagan, is the other of the 3 scientists I featured; the man was a poet, he romanticized the language of science.

This was so incredible you grabbed my attention instantly with the first quote combined with the imagery and music is out of this world. It puts a smile on my face to hear Carl Sagan's voice. Only now am I watching his show Cosmos. Fact-wise, I don't have a lot to learn from it (I already know most of it, or even the updated information) but the sheer wonder and love for discovery and critical thinking is what connects to me.
