Concert “A Tribute to International Women’s Day” with Selini Quartet, March 8th 2022

The concert by the Vienna-based Selini Quartet promises classical music of the finest quality. Nadia Kalmykova (violin), Ljuba Kalmykova (violin), Loredana Apetrei (viola) and Loukia Loulaki (violoncello) will perform pieces by Hildegard von Bingen, Julia Purgina, Fanny Hensel (Mendelssohn) and Felix Mendelssohn.

Since its formation in 2017, the Selini Quartet has won prizes in Austria and abroad. The musicians have played at the most prominent concert halls in Vienna, including the Wiener Musikverein and the Wiener Konzerthaus. Internationally, the quartet regularly performs in numerous European countries. The all-female ensemble is part of the "New Austrian Sound of Music" (NASOM) - a sponsorship program by the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs, promoting talented young Austrian musicians abroad.
