Any Beatles fans who have not watched the "Concert for George" should absolutely check it out. It is the best tribute concert I have seen. Filled with excellent performances of so many of George's great songs, you won't regret taking the time to see it.

Song makes me cry every time. The DVD for Concert for George is amazing, but a precious few songs and fragments are online… so many great collabs here- one you won’t find in full “Horse to Warer”.

That is Marc Mann in the blue hat - playing the lead slide guitar part. He also played on Harrison's final album (Brainwashed).

Billy Preston performed this song knowing he was not long of this earth yet kept the cancer diagnosis to himself. He passed not long after this performance. He informed Eric Clapton and Dhani Harrison after the event.

That's my favorite song by George Harrison and that's his young son. That's playing the guitar and Eric Clapton's playing the guitar and they're just killing it. I love that I have it on my forefront of my track. Always singing My Sweet Lord. love that thank you.😇 George Harrison would be so proud that his song is hitting the younger generations. It's a masterpiece.

Maggie if you want see Harrison, Clapton, Preston & Dylan in their prime watch The Concert for Bangladesh. Live performances of all these artists and more. No synthesizers or trick microphones just raw talent on display. Billy Preston doing his song " That's the Way God Planned It" on the Hammond B3 organ is not to be missed.🤩🤩🤩

Most people probably are not aware that George Harrison gave both (My Sweet Lord) and (All Things Must Pass) to Billy Preston - and they were both first released on Preston's album ("Encouraging Words" - released on September 11th, 1970) before they came out on Harrison's "All Things Must Pass" album which was released on November 27th, 1970. Billy also did his own cover of "I've Got A Feeling" on that album - but The Beatles version had come out earlier in the spring of 1970 on the "Let It Be" album.

So many great performances in this concert - especially Clapton and McCartney on "Something" and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". Ravi Shankar wrote a piece for Indian orchestra, and his daughter plays a sitar number. Tons of great musicians, including the late Gary Brooker and Tom Petty, Ringo and many more. Watch the whole thing. There is even a Monty Python segment, due to Harrison's support of their comedy.

I believe that the guitar you mentioned in the opening was an eletric guitar tuned to sound like the Indian sitar.

14:17 Yes, certainly they're singing the Krishna Consciousness mantra. That was always part of the song. 14:59 Kinda surprising to see Sir Paul (yes, he's a knight here--knighted by HM Elizabeth in 1997) on piano rather'n bass. 15:41 and gah-DANG but Dhani looks like his daddy!
