[Concert] Moranbong Band (December 21, 2012) {DPRK Music}

The Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea gave a grand banquet at the Mokran House on Friday in honor of scientists, technicians, workers and officials who made a contribution to the successful lift-off of satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2.
The dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un was present at the banquet together with his wife Ri Sol Ju.
Present there on invitation were the scientists, technicians, workers and officials who greatly contributed to successfully carrying out the last instruction of leader Kim Jong Il for launching a scientific and technological satellite in 2012 marking the centenary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung.
At the banquet Marshal Kim Jong Un made a speech congratulating them on their contribution to the successful lift-off of the satellite.
When Kim Jong Un's speech was over, the scientists, technicians, workers and officials broke into rousing cheers, looking up to him who congratulated them on the success though he made indefatigable, devoted efforts for the satellite lift-off.
At the banquet a performance was given by the Moranbong Band in congratulation of the successful launch of satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2.
Through its performance the Moranbong Band sang high praises of the undying revolutionary exploits Kim Jong Il performed for accomplishing the cause of building a space power and expressed profound thanks to Marshal Kim Jong Un who made sure that the overall national power of Korea of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il was demonstrated before the whole world by successfully carrying out the last instruction of Kim Jong Il.
Its performance also emphasized that the ardent patriotism of the scientists, technicians, workers and officials who fully displayed their fervent enthusiasm and creative wisdom for the successful lift-off of the satellite would be recorded as a brilliant exploit in the history of building a thriving nation.
At the end of the banquet Kim Jong Un, together with his wife and the senior party, state and army officials, warmly saw off the scientists, technicians, workers and officials leaving for the hotel where they put up.

The MB Band are all well talented, decently charming & resplendent all female sub-classical band that must be of an invaluable & priceless value in DPRK. We may live in utterly different world in terms of political & social system, but the universal language of music may seem to overcome all the barriers. Sounds very authentic. No Irish, Chinese, Russian, or any western influences at all. Pure tradition. Ok had to edit this... no Superhero music, no gypsy,... um... nothing like this sound has ever appeared in Europe..., hmmm... ok, so far, no latino samba, rhumba, etc. Fek, maybe i should listen to this whole Eurovision microcosm 1st. Ударная группа» ВМС США во главе с авианосцем «Карл Винсон» подхошла к Корейскому полуострову.Казалось атака неотвратима.Но случилось чудо:США развернула свои ВМС и удалилась.В чем дело? Да просто была замечена в Тихом океане, непосредственно у западного побережья США одна единственная северокорейская субмарина,способная нести ядерное оружие. This might be my very favorite Moranbong Band performance. It is obviously a sort of rehearsal for their big New Year's TV special, but in my mind it is better than the New Year's show. I loved hearing "Let's Study" again. I wish they still played that. Although the women looked beautiful in their formal dresses at the New Year's show, the skirts they are wearing here are their trademark. Of course the singing is wonderful and the musicians are unbelievably talented (this is the Moranbong Band after all), but I love their set list here. Lately the Moranbong Band has been toned down and has lost a bit of their edge. But this show was from a time when they were the most rockin' band in the DPRK. My hope is that one day they return to this style. My dream is that they be allowed to tour Canada.

Darf jeder Bürger ausreisen? In der DDR durften das nur die Oberen. In Paris hätten sie auch Erfolg. Ob auch auf Koreanisch oder erst auf englisch wissen wir nicht. Gesanglich ist koreanisch schöner als ungarisch oder polnisch aber das ist nur unser Eindruck
