Another great vlog and supremely well edited, with beautiful music - and it gives me such a nostalgic feeling for NYC. Great performance, would love to hear the whole thing! So much fun 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

she is AMAZING... I like to joke that after hearing her play I'm gonna go home and melt my flute for jewelry.

Really nice vlog!! It gave a real taste of what your week was like. The concert seemed lively and fun with such an engaged audience!! Sounds like they got to hear a great selection of pieces!! The dogs dreaming of turkey was a nice touch!

Loved this. NIce to see your family and your concert sounded fabulous. Oh to be a young musician in New York. So impressed with your talent and ability to navigate being a freelance musician in such a large environment.

I love these Week in a Life videos! Oh, and I had that concert in mind but I forgot to put it on my calendar . . . it sounded great and also more modern than the concert at the Tile store. Your practice sessions are always very interesting, and a good reminder of how much work goes on offstage (always for musicians, or opera singers, and so on.) I like that you’ve added the thumbnail of the music book you are using, and yes, Jeremías’ part looked well worn! That seems to be both an advantage-you can see marks from previous players-and a disadvantage-you can see marks from previous players! David, who is in NYChoral, uses the same ipad music system as you, and he really likes it. I just got an ipad pencil so I’m still experimenting. Have a great week, and see you at a lesson or concert soon! 🦋

I’m glad the rain stopped. I wish I could remember the name of the musician who said his best performance was the night there was only one person in the audience. Loved listening to you play for your family.

"Homeland" was such a particular score. I felt transported to the Amazon forest as if I were a part of some hunting tribe in the lush jungle who had magical music powers that attracted catch.

Is it hard to find an apartment where you can practice the way you need to? Because I imagine that would be hard enough in a suburb, let alone in NYC.

🌺Thanks very much for video! A little Drinking Musicians.... 🥰 ps. - It seems to me that if it is not played, then the reason is the player himself. Not only the tool plays, but also our body. If he is alarmed, then there is disonance, anxiety. There is a problem in character. You have to learn to be an actor. And cheerfully, with inspiration to play even sick at the trash) -i never had a thanksgiving. There is no such holiday in my country. Therefore, there is no favorite dish:)) May bee mashed potatoes not dish? Little turkey + and --->> dish!! 🌤 Great work, Katie! ✨Awesome concert!!!💐

Do you use a pedal or something to turn pages on your ipad while playing the music? If so, what do you use. Enjoying your videos and beautiful playing! Thank you!

I have the same question about turning pages. That iPad thing is so cool but how do you turn pages when you need both hands playing the flute? Question from on older person that has never used anything like that before!

Hello from California! I’m wondering if you could please tell me what thumb rest you’re using; professional flutist here, experiencing some arthritis in my early 40’s. This looks really comfortable, and I’d love to try anything to extend the length of time I’m able to play!
