Concerto in A Minor RV356 is a renowned Baroque piece composed by Antonio Vivaldi. It is part of L’estro Armonico (“Harmonic Inspiration”), a set of 12 concertos that demonstrated Vivaldi’s composing skill and was partly responsible for his enduring success. Originally written for the violin, this technically demanding piece is a prime example of Vivaldi’s innovative style. The ensemble will be performing the first movement, Allegro, a brisk and energetic piece where the Prime soloist engages in a lively musical dialogue with the rest of the orchestra.
