Absolute truth. To this day I still have trouble convincing those kinds of people that it was so much more than what you saw on the surface. Paul Verhoven was such an amazing director in those days. And it's no secret now that the cast and crew were utterly miserable while filming it, but the end result speaks for itself. Often you get the most creative work out of adversity and hardship.

Verhoevens films are brilliant. One of the best regisseurs. He always goes different ways than other regisseurs and criticized the society, capitalism and consumption. His brutality in the films are outstanding. Starship Troopers are also very good.

I still remember when dad come to home with a VHS Robocop's tape. Good Lord, i was 6, my Little Brother 4 and we watched all that freakin' movie. I first watched Robocop in 1987, when I was 7 years old. I'm 41 now and to this day Robocop is one of my favourite movies of all time. It's amazing on so many levels that I might not have realised as a kid, but even when I was a kid I thought the music in Robocop was fantastic...
