I was praying that Francis Cardinal Arinze was elected--a man of firm resolve and unswerving Faith. Oh well........I had the final test determining that I had to have open-heart surgery, and the next day after this, Cardinal Bergoglio was elected, when I had the heart catheter. I was waking up after the test, and on the tv in my room, was the Sistine Chapel and the black smoke. The Hospital staff said I could go now, but I persisted and wanted to watch until WHITE smoke appeared, explaining to the staff how selecting the next Pope was, and the process. I'll never forget a couple moments later the white smoke appeared, and when they announced Bergoglio, I was shocked--never heard of him, and the pundits were talking about the first Pope from "The Americas." I shuddered, knowing about Liberation theology--mixing Communism in with our Catholic Faith in Latin America. Pope John Paul II and Benedict XVI lived under tyranny--Communist and Nazi, and heartily opposed Liberation Theology, and pushed the Church away from it, Thank the Good Lord! I pray this Pope keeps the Church, The Church. I'll never forget waking up from this heart procedure, and watching the smoke on the tv. Love Cardinal Arinze and Cardinal Sarah!

O Canto Gregoriano continua a ter a primazia na Liturgia Católica. Mas esta primazia é ignorada constantemente. I also was interested and I found the answer. :) This arrangement is by card. Domenico Bartolucci, the director of the Sistine Chapel Choir in years 1956-1997. I don't know when he composed it, but I found out that the same arrangement was used during the first conclave of 1978 (the election of pope John Paul I).

PazzoGrande. It is becasue of the different sides of the choir stalls sining the chant in the monasteries. When sung there, the right would sing a verse, then the left. So now that tradition is continued in those churches that have retained the Latin liturgy by the congregation singing plain chant and then the trained choir singing the polyphonic verse in reply. Quite beautiful! How can modern banal Church music compete with this? We lost Gregorian chant for Frank Anderson and Janet Meade and Eagle Wings!

El Vení Creator. Lo cantábamos de niño cuando se empezaban. Los ejercicios espirituales ha mi personalmente. Me ha gustado mucho de siempre cantaren latín recuerdo que hicieron pruebas para formar un coro. Todos cantaban. La misma ca nación el himno Nacional el cura que nos hacía las pruebas. Que si no sabíamos. Alguna canción diferente. Y me tocó cantar ha mi. Y canté " cerca de ti Señor "la canté. Toda entera y entre. En. El coro de primera voz. Hera muy feliz pues hacia la O que me gustaba. Cantar. Hice. Algunos solos. Y aun canto.
