I like the Concord and it's concept to fly very high to reduce air drag and thus achive higher speeds. Although the fuel consumption was crazy. I think engineers need to look again into the technology, but with modern technology and drasticly reducing the consumption, and thus also making supersonic flights more sustainable and afordable.

... scientifically, flying higher, with less air drag, and for shorter time should actually be cheaper and more energy efficient, than flying low and slow.

@m.l.5284: Sustainability is no issue at all. CO2 is needed for photosynthesis, let plants to grow to food and releasing oxygen. 😊 Boom supersonic will use despite the critics in the climate religion sustainable fuel. I am sure you will see this impressive aircraft in some years.

@@gluecksdrache2054 Sustainability is when we don't dig the carbon out of the soid, instead use carbon from the air, to produce synthetic fuel, and burn that. We should also look into methane, which can be produced from air and water (plus a lot of energy).

ok, da kann ich mein Englisch mal wieder trainieren. Sehr cooles interview. Ehrlich gesagt, kann ich das mit den bequemen Sitzen in der Concord nicht nachvollziehen. Ich war in Sinsheim in der Concord und das hat mit den aktuellen Sitzen nichts zu tun. Die war schnell, keine Frage, aber da schleicht man ja schon gebückt rein, wenn man größer als 1,70 ist.
