The pointy badge as you describe it is called a Jaguar leaping cat bonnet mascot. We only fit the legal spring loaded type.

It's nice, but they are not supposed to have a leaping cat or the other bling on, and if I ever bought one that did, I would immediately have it removed even if it required the bonnet to be resprayed.

FYI - certain Jaguar models of years gone by did have fixed leaping cat mascots fitted as standard. This car is a Japanese import, in Japan like many other countries including the USA mascots were fitted standard. FYI we prepare our cars as customers continue to demand us too, the editions we added were all Jaguar designed items, some original options and some standard features across the model range. I appreciate your comments but we have been restoring and selling Jaguar’s for 30 years and can kindly do without your type of comments and advice in the nicest possible way. It’s not useful to anyone. We know what we are doing. This particular Jaguar was a car we were absolutely inundated with enquiries for, we sold it as soon as it hit the market, we are are still getting daily calls about it after people have watched this video. That to me speaks volumes, check out the viewing figures for this video and the positive comments. The new owner is over the moon with his purchase. All the best to you.
