CrackWeld is the best crack repair product I have used. We have to repair a lot of cracks in concrete floors before we install our epoxy coatings. CrackWeld works great for this. It's easy to apply and dries fast so there is very little down time. Excellent product, I highly recommend it!

At what point do you need to grind out the crack first?.

We have finished concrete floors with radiant heat. And have been noticing some cracking. Should we repair them or? And is it best to seal and epoxy them

Hey Mike, excellent video, I have cracks like this in my garage floor, uncovered back patio slab, and a few very fine cracks in my pool deck (about 8 yrs old). Is this what you would use on the pool deck? Wish you were in PA to do my work. I really enjoy your videos

You can use this but look up Magic crack filler, that works good for pools.

Mike , I was planning on ordering the DIY Kit after watching your video on Crack Weld. So many products I read & videos I watched trying to find the right crack filler for hairline cracks. Very confusing , then I came across your website and so happy I did. I need to ask you, " Do I have to use Silica Sand ? If I run out can I use another type sand ? " I want it to be that when I'm finish , I will not be able to tell that a crack is there and will blend in with rest of concrete !!! Any pointers you can give ? Thank you so much !!!!! 👍

If it's more than hairline you'll want to use silica sand. You can get more at Sherwin Williams. Regular sand can be damp and too course.

Hi Mike, Thank you so much for the content that you have put out. You have a knack for explaining things clearly. I have a neighbor that needs his concrete drive cracks repaired and asked if I would make the repairs for him and that he would pay me at the going rate for my effort. Do you have any idea of what I should charge him per linear foot of crack. I realize that the crack weld is around $200 for the pro kit. Thanks in advance.

Just charge him what you think your time is worth. Everyone is different and experience is very valuable. So if you don't have that much experience you can charge less but you just increased your value because now you know how to do it better and probably faster next time.

Watching these crack repair videos makes me curious what are the major disadvantages to using the silicone caulk crack fill tubes. Obviously the strength is not near this stuff but neither is the price point. Are those in essence basically cosmetic to an extent and basic water sealing?

This is a permanent fix, caulking it temporary.

Seems I might need to take another look at my situation and decide between budget and longevity. You're videos have got me much more excited about the various concrete and masonry fixes though.

Mike: I have cracks in an outdoor 2nd floor landing just outside the entry door to a 2nd floor apartment. I believe a brown thin layer of rapidset was used over the sheathing and waterproof resin to finish the landing. What should I use for 1/8” cracks which have developed in the rapidset which would match the color and be long-lasting like CrackWeld?

Mike, enjoyed the video very much, I have a ton of cracks in my 2 car garage floor. Is there any limit to the width of the crack for this method/product? Also, if you get the kit that comes without the caulk gun, do you have to do the mixing of tubes A & B somehow? Seems like it might be worth it to buy the kit with the twin caulk gun? Love you videos. Wish you were in my area 😢

That stuff does 100' of a 1/16" crack, 50' of a 1/8" crack, or 25' of a 1/4" crack, and so on. Above 1" you should call a pro. There's a lot of different products and they might not all be the best to use in your region due to temperature or cost.

It all depends on how wide your crack is.A hairline crack you can do 10 feet (1 tube) easy...The secret to all of this to work well is the prepping and dry concrete wall,if the concrete is to humid the epoxy will pop off while injecting,so be very careful and take your time.
