Nice work ! I have never seen a footing in New York it would be like 36 inches underground but this was fun to watch . I laughed at the sink in the garage multi use I guess lol. The EPA laws there are nuts Me I would have pitched that garage into a rectangle drain in the middle then into the drain line for the sink. But that would depend on where that drain went to . Many years ago, and even today in some parts of the US, deep footings weren't done or even required by codes for detached buildings. In cold areas, the whole thing would heave anyway if you're not going down several feet to get below the frost line.

I find it amazing how strong old concrete is compared to new aged concrete all those chemicals they add don’t seem to help strengthen it at all just make it harder to finish!
@gr6e
@gr6e 2 жыл бұрын
It's not the age that makes a difference, it's the amount of money you want to spend. You want a better mix that lasts longer, you're gonna pay a lot more. That's how it's been for over 2,000 years. People generally don't care to pay more if they're not gonna be alive to benefit from the extra longevity. Oh and all those "chemicals" they add? Again, those same "chemicals" have been standard additives since the Roman empire. Practical Engineering has some good videos on the subject if you want to learn how concrete works.
