I never understood how you ordered your concrete but you said it slower for us dummies at the end 😅. But I’ve never heard anyone order their concrete with “low chert” I kept having to pause and go back to hear what you were saying in other videos and I finally heard you! And I looked it up and did my research and it is indeed an aggregate that is found in SE Wisconsin. Interesting! We don’t order our concrete like that here in Idaho. Good to know though.

What are they doing after it is poured with the trowels? Is it smoothing it out? I work in a body shop and prep cars for paint so is it like finish sanding? I see them do it then take a brush to it. My garage floor is smooth and has a shiny finish. I’d love to know what they are doing and how you get that result.
@VictoryOutdoorServices3 жыл бұрын
The garage floor is finished with a steel trowel and left shiny and smooth. The exterior concrete gets brushed with the special concrete brush you see so it is not slippery when wet or snow covered.

Full air, air entrainment only becomes a problem with interior slabs if you plan on using a power trowel. We hand trowel our garage floors.
@GRUBB-MUDD3 жыл бұрын
Ohh ok. Most importantly the outdoor slab has air entrained. I've seen guys peel it off with sliders, I use knee boards, I usually have enough air in my truck and we just add it to the outdoor mix, I've also heard dish soap can act as air. But never actually done it

@VictoryOutdoorServices3 жыл бұрын
You're right 100 percent. However there is a definite difference between troweling a garage floor smooth and hard troweling. Hard troweling generally refers to machine finished floors or where you're scrubbing and using a burner trowel for a couple passes. Hitting a garage floor once over air entrained concrete will have no negative effects. Thanks for watching and good observation! Only a true concrete pro would know that.

You look so ridiculous for wearing a simple mask that could prevent you from catching a disease that could put you out of work or in the hospital, on top of spreading to others. As a boss/owner of a company, I would think you would encourage them wearing mask as a form of risk mitigation. What would you do if they catch covid, spread it to other guys on your team, and then you are missing all but 1 employee?? Would it make more sense just to wear them indoors and not worry about things??
