Concrete Pumping Vlog #42. Somero S-485 Laser Screed!

It's definitely been a week of Somero Laser screeds and today it was the Somero S-485. The pour was 8" thick and SEMO Ready Mix showed their capabilities with an impressive amount of concrete arriving quickly to the job site. Our Putzmeister 38 Meter concrete pump had an ideal setup on asphalt behind a Chevrolet car dealership and placed the concrete quickly and efficiently. you mentioned you’re using a 4 1/2 on this floor. What hose do you use on floors less than 6 inches thickness.

Will usually run a 4", sometimes a 3.5". Just have to be really careful on the 3.5", cause it can plug in the neck of the hose easily.

How do you keep it from pushing the rebar down to the bottom?

Alot of times they will place concrete bricks or shoes down in front of the head. If it's just mesh. They pull it up while screeding.
