CONCRETE TOPS made to look like Turkish Travertine!

Look customer asked if I could make it look like heard Turkish travertine tile, and I said "I don't know, let's find out!"

Would love to know how you got the pitting. I assume you poured these upside down. I am wanting to make a bunch of remodel pavers to look like this! Any tips would be most appreciated.

Could you explain how you made the concrete look like travertine? I have to make a piece of furniture with concrete and my client wants it to look like travertine stone. Any advice/tips would be GREATLY appreciated! I’m new to concrete work and could use all the help I can get.

@@noboringconcrete thanks for responding. I am new to this, so I was not familiar with the press technique - so now that i have looked it up, this has lead me to believe this is the way you got the pitting. I was thinking you managed to do it with the spray method, but could not think how you were trapping the air bubbles effectively. Hope I have this right. I have to say, these counter tops are by far my favorite i have seen so far! Love the level of skill and detail you put into it! Thanks for helping us others strive for better!

This is super nice. I do some concrete work down here in Trinidad and Tobago. By chance, did you achieve this with a pressed technique using different colours and aggregates?

I used a little press technique but mainly sprayed out of hopper various colors into my forms... then back filled it with the main primary colored concrete.. no agg or staines were used

No Boring Concrete / nbc2 Design amazing work, brother. I started in 2017 off making planters and smaller decor items like side tables and lamps, etc. I’ve started to do dining tables and countertops. I’ve various techniques down, pressed, marbling, etc but it’s wonderful to see such amazing work. Thanks for responding.

I am just starting in GFRC. Have been loving concrete look for years but just haven’t been able to pull the trigger to start a business until now. You mention marbling. How do you get that look? Can you get it by spraying or does is it a poured mix with some different colors slightly blended? Thanks
