We were going to have a concrete patio poured this spring because of its affordability. After thinking on it for awhile we decided we’d rather spend the extra money to have pavers. Do it right and do it once

How much does adding significantly more rebar and wire plus a bit deeper pour of concrete to mitigate cracks

What happens instead of using the polymeric sand and using plain regular sand for the in betweens of the pavers? And every so often just adding more sand in to the pavers as it gets blown away or brushed off.

You can go that route. However, the polymeric sand will not only last longer, but also minimize the weeds growing up through the joints. Sand will hold some moisture allowing weeds to take root.

What is your opinion of the polypropylene paver base sheets sold at home improvement stores? Are those a suitable replacement for a gravel base?
@terraneldesigns15772 жыл бұрын
Great question! What climate do you live in? Do you have freezing/thawing? How is the soil (black dirt, clay, sandy, etc?) and how big of an area are you looking to pave?

2 inches of 3/8 clean stone or 1 inch of leveling sand
@terraneldesigns15772 жыл бұрын
I’d recommend 8” of stone base compacted with a 2” leveling layer.

Why are you not more consistent with how often you post, u have a good setup and voice, if u posted everyday, you would Def grow, BTW now I wana do a paver vs stamp concrete video now, some b-roll of what u were talking about would have been nice

BTW concrete is not fire proof, at all. Who ever made that old saying was wrong, yeah it won't catch but it sure will mess it up

Lol. Thanks, I'll let Frank know!

😂😂 live in Arizona and all I see is pavers being replaced… don’t make the mistake. With the Right guys you won’t have to worry about concrete

I got 2 quotes. And concrete and pavers were the same. What gives

LMAO you like pavers... guess you never had to do the maintenance on them then or pay for them ...... they SUCK!!! you will get 2 seasons out of them if you are lucky...and hope that your property is well drained when it rains.... and Stamped concrete will last 100x longer with 100x less headache...

2 seasons out them?? Are you serious?? Our pavers are 22 years old and still perfectly fine. They have a lifetime guarantee. They are ALSO concrete, just formed in smaller pieces in a controlled environment. How can you possibly claim stamped concrete will last 100x longer. They are made out of the same materials, but one is expertly created in a controlled environment, while the other is up to the contractor to mix and pour in an uncontrolled environment. Sorry but your comment is nonsense.
