The biggest mistake Yawan made was trying to get rid of her maid. Her maid had be loyal up to that point and would have continued to be so. The maid survived because of Halain's intervention, which I am sure was made perfectly clear to her. Her revenge was to testify against Yawan.

It's a pity Yawan's servants saved her. Then again her 'trial' made it clear what and how many her sins were.

I am wondering how rich is Fei position. If anyone?
@hairylilmangoseed14408 ай бұрын
I wonder too but I am gonna make a guess based on their ranks. And say fairly rich considering you’d be above concubine, Noble lady, first class attendant and second class attendant. But I don’t think you’d be as rich as say empress, imperial Noble consort or Noble consort. I believe there were only 8 titles empress, imperial Noble consort, Noble consort, consort, concubine, Noble lady, first call attendant and second class attendant. So somewhere in the middle. I am no historian just saying this as someone who enjoys these dramas.

I‘ve gone to do some research to answer your question. The allowance (per month) for each status is given as below: Empress: 1000 Silver Tales Imperial Noble Consort: 800 Silver Tales Noble Consort: 600 Silver Tales Consort: 300 Silver Tales Concubine: 200 Silver Tales Noble Lady: 100 Silver Tales First Attendant In Waiting: 50 Silver Tales Second Attendant In Waiting: 30 Silver Tales *Note: 1 Silver Tales = 200 Chinese Yuan (please convert to your currency for accuracy) So, if to calculate as modern currency, it will be as below: Empress: 20 Million Chinese Yuan Imperial Noble Consort: 16 Million Chinese Yuan Noble Consort: 12 Million Chinese Yuan Consort: 6 Million Chinese Yuan Concubine: 4 Million Chinese Yuan Noble Lady: 2 Million Chinese Yuan First Class Attendant: 1 Million Chinese Yuan Second Class Attendant: 6000 Chinese Yuan If you want the source, I got it from here: www.163.com/dy/article/FSP0Q47S0519MVFT.html

I disagree. She's still very arrogant and looks down on all the members of the harem. I don't think she would have befriended Yawan if she hadn't saved her son. I wonder if she still would have befriended Yawan if she knew it was Yawan that put her son in danger to begin with. She was always against Ruyi because of her mother. I think when she saw Ruyi's cut hair on the floor, she realized her mother was wrong in thinking Ruyi only wanted the empress 's chair. There was no way to speak to Ruyi or fix their non-existent relationship once Ruyi was under house arrest. I have no idea how this played out in the book.

She's still very arrogant! The way she treats Ruyi, the snide way she talks to the other Concubines, someone needs a spanking!

@@katherinkeegan8601in the book actually she never realised Ruyi was not against her mother for the Express chair, she hated Ruyi throughout the book, which is sad but I think that makes more sense, if I was her, I wouldn’t have changed my perception that easily with Ruyi cutting her hair despite this action was the worst thing to do back in the time, because it’s an act basically cursing the imperials to die.

Burn off the weeds? Where is Mama buried?
@katherinkeegan86017 ай бұрын
Yawan framed her own mother for using witchcraft against Ruyi when it was Yawan 's crime. As a convicted person she was not allowed a proper burial. Not sure if she was allowed a headstone, I don't think she was. I think she is in an unmarked grave well out of the area surrounding the Forbidden City.
