Amen Meagan!! One wife yes- Even while allowing polygamy, the Bible presents monogamy as the plan that conforms most closely to God’s ideal for marriage. The Bible says that God’s original intention was for one man to be married to only one woman: “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife [not wives], and they will become one flesh [not fleshes]” (Genesis 2:24). Also In the New Testament, 1 Timothy 3:2, 12 and Titus 1:6 give “the husband of one wife”

Awesome discussion. Nevertheless, I can’t help but notice how Cam is coming up with various scenarios and hypotheticals to pacify infidelity. Let’s stop this notion that a person can be patient with someone and help them work through infidelity. That is an internal battle that can only be won through soul-searching and self-accountability. Oftentimes the main people who feel as though people should stay with them if they cheat, would not be willing to stay themselves if they were the one constantly cheated on. Deception, dishonesty, and lustful impulse will never sustain a viable longterm union. Just an observation from a fellow black male.

Our men are broken. I think Cam was trying to say “the right things” nut his real thought process seeped through plenty of times. Many of his talking points were experienced based and something you can tell he seems to believe. I don’t believe he was playing Devils Advocate, I think a lot of his toxic ways/ideas is because that’s his mindset and it’s the way he chooses to live his life. You can tell because he stumbled on his words alot. I really hope our community finds the black male leaders we need to ensure these families don’t continue to be broken.7 kids who need him present, but due to his choices, his children are not in his full care. Now don’t get me wrong, everybody isn’t ,want to be together and we all make mistakes, but the point I’m trying to make is due to this mindset, alot of men are broken. They attract broken women or they lie and BREAK a the woman through this behavior discussed in this session. They bring children in the world and then break up the home. Constantly searching for the right person to make them “whole” or give them “peace”. Not realizing that that peace will never be found in another person. No matter how hard you search, or how “good” she is, she will never be able to give you what you lack. We need help. We need men, STONG men to help these boys\men navigate these emotions. Without that, this world is doomed.

I agree but I don’t think we need leaders we just need individuals to do the work in their own homes. Leaders are just human beings who are flawed. We just need more men holding themselves accountable and doing the work. You can’t be a leader if you can’t even admit your own flaws , be accountable and have a higher source to believe and answer to. I have seen these so called leaders in the blk community. they speak one thing while living an entirely different lifestyle. So we don’t need leaders we just need men who are willing to do the work God will do the rest.

This was really good! Having open dialogue and openly discussing relationship differences/expectations is key. Now a days relationships seem to be more transactional than transformational. I believe if we focus more on what can I add to this person rather than what can I get/take it would eliminate so many issues. Energy is a constant flow, as you pour in you receive back. Your thoughts about situations, people, and experiences are exactly what you will see around you. The subconscious mind presents to us exactly what we believe as true with no questions asked. Focus on self-fulfillment first, becoming complete and whole within yourself. Then you will be able to see and attract the wholeness of another individual. Love is already within.

And he’s saying he not ready to commit which is going to keep her a baby mama , and she will have to deal with him sleeping around w whores cause he admitted it on his show
