This is a very scientific, in-depth presentation on the subject of condensation in camping situations. Excellent work.

Knowledge is power. If you understand why condensation is formed, you have the power to stop it, minimize it or deal with it.

@@HelsdonOutdoors2 We had a condensation-free camp, down to 13C only though. I did learn the lesson on insulation. The car windscreen sunshade works fine down to 18C then you get cold! Luckily I had an inflatable mat as per your other video on the topic.

Awesome What about water running down the straps into the hammock? I’m sure you mitigate this, can you show how? I’d pay twice as much for your UL design….lighter material ( Dyneema ) straps ( Dyneema ) and carbon spreader bars. Could I use sticks for the two spreader bars? Still pretty awesome!

The buckles breaks the flow of water down the straps. I'll make a video about it and post here on KZbin. We have no immediate plans to release a UL version, although Dave has made a UL prototype out of mesh just to prove that it can be done with intact strength and lay flat properties.
