Grant has condensate outlet top right so maybe could have placed trap higher (outside the boiler) and done away with need for the pump, one to think about

We recently had a leak. I thought it was the bath waste at first, on closer inspection the other half had piled towels ontop of the condensate pump and pulled it of its bracket. She got a good hiding that night I'll tell u 😉

Can this be a DIY job to eliminate external pipe across building
@knighthvac48767 жыл бұрын
Here in the states at least in my area, code requires a condensate neutralizer before the pump , we even have pumps with neutralizer build in !
@knighthvac48767 жыл бұрын
Quick question that Reillo burner , what fuel do you guys burn over there ? I got mix answers ,diesel , kerosene and number 2 heating oil !
@wilouk43017 жыл бұрын
Hi, there is a space inside the case for Condensate Neutralizer sachets. Always stay the right side of the code :)
@jonnysegway78662 жыл бұрын
The actual condensate outlet for a grant is at the top, I don’t think a pump was necessary here, just perhaps cut down to the fixed plastic pipe a little.

Is that a flexible hose on the oil line outside the boiler? Wrong install. oftec

Great video. Just looking to replace my boiler with a new type condensing boiler. Would like to use the same flue hole, can you extend the flue on a boiler with a rear flue?

What would you do if you needed to connect the condensate pump to a cast iron soil pipe? How would you connect it?
@emptyone20547 жыл бұрын
Wouldn't it be a bit easier if you threaded the plastic pipe through the copper before your bent it??

I have a question....I have a tap, when I turn it on it starts ok then slows down to a trickle....a couple month ago our water pressure went down, when I turned the main tap it felt like a crunch fell.....then the water pressure went back to normal.....but now this 1 tap is blocked....I can't take it off its in a bad place....and idea how to unblock with out having to use C4
@normanboyes49837 жыл бұрын
Why did you not fish the poly pipe through he copper template prior to bending?
@stuartfram51847 жыл бұрын
Have you re sited the oil boiler? Does it matter if the opening at the back top is left open?

Just the thing I need! Where to purchase one from? Did a Google only one I could find was on Amazon
@wilouk43017 жыл бұрын
Hi Jeordan, your local merchant should be able to order one in for you (if they don't have one on the shelf waiting). Give them the Wilo art. number and they'll get one in. productfinder.wilo.com/gb/en/Wilo/c0000002a0003a36300010023/c0000002a0003a36d00010023/c000000740002cb1300010023/product.html#tab=4

You plugged it in? So I don't need a spur
@MenacingPrince7 жыл бұрын
Yooooo!! Like your boiler @ home lol ... A question... If it comes with just a plug what happens when it fails and the boiler keeps condensing? Usually Condense pumps come with a switch to shut the boiler off don’t they?

Oh yeah, test those links to socials JOSH! Wanna see if they open the app on a phone, or take you to the desktop (which causes leakage....) I'll pat George on the head for you....

Grant oil boilers all the way
@simonjarvis7362Ай бұрын
The condensate is acidic and will corrode the copper pipe, you should only use plastic.

Naughty, naughty... flue terminal very close to that wall and OMG a crappy metal braided flexi hose that looks rusted ready to leak AND it goes through the boiler case!! Should be copper fuel line into the boiler case, then flexi, NOT a leak waiting to happen metal braided flexi, but a long life bio flexi... :-)
@plumberparts7 жыл бұрын
Flue is temporary! You can probably see the wall clading isn't finished yet (waiting for end profile) Once that's done I having a vertical high level terminal 45'd past the soffits. It'll be fine!
@stevep42537 жыл бұрын
Top man. Just pointing it out for Joe Public, the installs I come across I think the phrase "you can't fix stupid" applies.
